Life Size Lego Car Powered By Air

I thought you guys may enjoy this. I threw some cash in to help fund it. It was a crowd supported idea. Not kickstarter just a bunch of friends.

Wow, impressive!

Put some padding in for the seats and make a kids pedal car version. :)

> "runs on air"

And what drives the pistons? Let me guess: a battery.

Stupid misleading titles.

If someone claims to run a car on diesel, I expect it to fully sustain itself on diesel. This works.
If someone claims to have a car running on air I expect it to fully sustain itself on air compression mechanisms. This doesn't work in this case. The source power comes from a battery. So I wouldn't call it "running on air". A misleading title by the inventor, as said.

Mate there IS NO BATTERY - It has a couple of carbon fibre tanks of compressed air.

I have crawled through dozens of news articles, their website, the youtube video and I haven't found anywhere a single phrase mentioning that tanks with compressed air are used. While this might be true, it's kinda ridiculous that this information is so hard to find and every news article just copies the same useless text from each other.

Anyways, I found a more indepth article about compressed air cars here, with all the explanations I was missing:
http://www.gizmag.com/go/7000/

Kinda cool if I might say so. But damn, that was 7 years ago and still no breakthrough...
