Changing the wind...
« on: August 07, 2013, 06:42:29 PM »
..... at : www.youtube.com/watch?v=BH8AKDhcSv4  can introduce us ,directly , to a continuous unbalance ('self" motion ) , due to gravity fall and inertia.

The up-here "two-sticks" arrangement (leverage) , has an  irregular motion (sometimes swinging , sometimes rotating ) due to the distinguishing feature of the wind / air displacement.

Let's change the input , with a gravity as a "gusty wind" one : a "regular" torque difference on the same side of the fulcrum

So , if we  play a  repetitive  full up-down (0*-180*) unbalance and we  try to maintain it , on the same side of the fulcrum...we have a motion machine in our courtyard

Neat idea.

Too bad that gravity doesn't flow like the wind; if it did, something like this would probably be able to work. Maybe.

.....if we take into consideration the well known swinging sticks toys :
     https://youtu.be/PWg6TG2bkFU
     https://youtu.be/hesfXBcgV0s
.....playing an erratic motion due to gravity unbalance and electric battery circuitry.
If we take a look at :
     www.youtube.com/watch?v=BH8AKDhcSv4
.....playing an erratic motion due to gravity unbalance and irregular wind , also.
If we intend to obtain a continuous regular motion , due to gravity unbalance and air ("assisting"...) resistance , let's take a look at :
     https://www.researchgate.net/figure/Conventional-Savonius-Rotor-available-on-wwwenergythiccom-8_fig1_277339136
With an asymmetric/UNEQUAL ARMS  Savonius attachment ( or replacement...) to the second leverage ,playing air resistance we can switch (tumble the arms ...and the torque difference...) , so to maintain the gravity unbalance/torque difference on the same side of the fulcrum.
