Hi all,

One more time. This thread is ONLY for the purpose of SHARING an exploration of MY variant of the Inductive Resistor Heater. It is NOT a stage or platform from where to launch announcements, insults or news relating Rosemary Ainslie's work, her website, upcoming tests of her hardware or whatever. However, I would not have engaged this study were it not for the work that she chose to make public. I thank her for that. It is an intriguing topic with great potential to help a great many people if and when fully exploited.

The tests and test protocol I've outlined are based on an academic investigation of a particular mode of energizing an Inductive-Resistor Heater. I have performed an analysis of the Heater's performance. The analysis DOES NOT rely on the use of expensive test equipment and can be replicated by anyone with the patience and diligence to follow through. A comprehensive testing protocol is outlined at the end of a Video Slide Show I have prepared. That Video Slide Show can be viewed on my YouTube channel at:

We'll see if this thing survives the assaults I'm sure are coming.

Regards,

gme

Greg,

Just to be clear, by saying "ONLY" and "SHARING", do you mean to say that you do not wish for any discussions regarding alternative measurement techniques or of any discussions that may question your methods to be posted here?

Just curious...

Greg,

Have you ever attempted to operate your circuit on batteries, but with a DC supply also connected to the batteries to maintain their charge?  If necessary, a modest inductance could be inserted in series between the supply and batteries to isolate any AC loading on the batteries from the DC supply that may affect your oscillations.  The amount of current required to maintain the batteries at a given voltage could then be read from an ammeter in line with the supply (or from the supply's ammeter if accurate enough).  Allow the batteries to reach the supply voltage with minimal current being drawn while unloaded and then connect the BH to the batteries.  The increase in charge current from the supply could be used as an alternate check of the BH's current draw.

As well, would it not be wise to consider operating your circuit from just a DC supply?  I know that you said doing so causes your circuit to not oscillate or ring, but would not that in itself warrant further investigation?  A bit of inductance added at the DC supply output to mimic the AC impedance of the battery may be all that is needed.

Also, have you ever considered studying the amount of energy required to recharge your batteries once discharged with a given load?

Perhaps gmeast is not aware that as the user starting a topic, he has the ability to lock the thread in-between his own posts (thereby creating a blog within a forum should he choose to do so).

If he IS already aware of this, then clearly his intention is not ONLY to share, but to allow discussion as well. Given these two choices, it would seem that gmeast ONLY need make up his mind as to which way he wishes the thread to go.

How many times has Gmeast said goodbye,  said that he isn't interested in posting here? How many times has he insulted our host? And then come back for more?

One really has to wonder. If Ainsie's site is getting all the traffic she boasts about, and the hits aren't coming from spiders and spambots... why there isn't an active and happy discussion of gmeast's work happening there, where Ainslie and Chessnyt and who knows who else can censor comments and restrict posting privileges to whomever they like? Why does Gmeast keep saying goodbye here, and yet keeps coming back with more insults and whining? Why are there only four active posters on that whole honeypot forum?

I know the answers.

Rhetorical questions, aren't they? It's pretty clear that Gmeast's intention is ONLY to troll and start flame wars. He's getting no action from his thread at Ainslie's honeypot, so he wants to come and play here. But the water's too deep, he should really stay in his kiddie wading pool where the topics aren't over his head.
