We need a place to discuss this since Naudin has replicated it but I do not
see an active forum where there is a discussion so I start it here.

It not OU because it takes about 9 watts to run it and puts out 3 watts
but the diverted backemf is a BIG DEAL.

I agree with you that getting 3W output without increasing the input draw is a big achievement but if the input power draw is a continuous 9W, then according to accepted rules it is not OU. 
Yes, the diverted backemf is a big deal, this is where the ball is to be carried and played with further on...

Thane has a unique and individual interpretation of defining his achievement, he surely has every right to define it as he wishes,  maybe you have noticed his long post just today here:

Thanks Gyula for the induction cooker info. I took the bulb wattage as the output -
3330 watts.

I have not seen what Naudin used for his cores and I don't understand what
the usual looking transformer on top is for. Naudin did show the bottom two
round toroids in the video. I like the look of theenergydreamer because it
looks more like what Thane Heins showed and in this video after 4 minutes
where he gets into the theory and how it works.

Thane Heins remembers me to Don Smith in some of his theories.
It should be a way to use electricity in transformers to get a lot of energy in the output.
I think reactive power can be amplified several times without affecting the power factor of the source.
If the power factor of the source is 0 then the current and the voltage are 90ยบ out of phase and no watts are consumed, just virtual power.

I've also check a way to extract electrical power from a transformer while don't changing the power factor.
