Title: New thoughts on thermocouplers
Post by: raburgeson on July 24, 2006, 04:49:13 PM
When I was a yougn lad I placed many thermocouplers in a series-paralell arrangement and did produce energy. The draw back to this was dissimular metals corrode. I was forever resoldering and monkeying around. If I use 2 inert metals such as 660 stainless and platnum I can stop the corrosion. However, this may also stop the production of energy. Acid will not be produced and may keep any reaction from happening. I feel I should try wire winding 2 wires quickly to check however, wish me luck.
