Hi Nick.
Too many open projects all together as usual :D
About what I said for katcher's operation is just my experience with it. Nothing more.
It is just for optimum performance but nothing to worry about in relation with the successfulness of Ruslan's replica. Even with the right cap there my device is still UU. (stands for UnderUnity systems)

Regards

Hoppy

......Adrian's didn't work like that nor did Ruslan's
it needs to be hooked into the switching time of the yoke at the right time, not random.

Correct IMO.

Hi Void.
Yes we are talking about the same video. The difference in potential between antenna and ground is not enough by ityself to produce 28Hz discharges over the bulb. His coil system looks responsible for that and looks like the same idea as with Kapa and the others. To be honest, if i had an alive spark gap like that even without any load attached i would staring at it all day long. ;D

Hi Jeg, maybe, but we don't know exactly what he is doing, so that is only an
assumption on your part. If he is using a metal roof and say has a cell tower very near by,
that could possibly account for it. A large metal roof can probably collect quite a bit of charge
under the right conditions at any rate. :)

Not everyone here understands what "Kacher Brovin" is.
No drivers. Only 1 transistor and 2 coils and power supply. The power supply can be very low voltage, less than 1 volt.
"In 2000, Brovin developed a new" proximity switch "sensor - a device that allows an arbitrary metal or metallized
electrically insulated surface to create a volume charge of an electric field. A foreign object entering this field from outside
causes the relay inside the device to trigger and any information circuit (sound or light alarm, radio transmitter, pager, tape recorder, video camera, etc.).
When changing the bias in the base, the continuous generation process was converted into an intermittent,
in the form of bursts of pulses. In 1988, I found that the signals that I took to block the process are short needle-shaped pulses of tens of nanoseconds.
I doubted the existence of mutual induction between the base and collector inductances, and I could no longer call such a scheme a blocking generator.Continuing to study the properties of the obtained circuit and those close to it, in 1990 I found that it works
without a core. It turned out that such a generator can be made both on known and on “improbable” circuits
with one or more inductances connected to any electrodes of the transistor, with mutual induction providing
feedback both positive and negative. The generator works without feedback. The collector with the emitter can be
interchanged, the generation does not stop, only the waveforms change.
Generator frequencies can range from fractions of a hertz to hundreds of kilohertz.
These results can be achieved by selecting the number of turns in the inductances. "
Patents Brovin:.
1. RU2013151625 TRANSFORMER TECHNIQUE FOR TRANSISTOR CONTROL
2. RU2444124 GENERATOR OF ELECTRIC KACHER CIRCUIT BREAKS ON TRANSISTOR
3. RU2265276 NEW METHOD FOR TRANSISTOR CONTROL-

That's interesting about that different variation of the 'kacher' circuit, Sergh. Good info!

Apecore:   You mentioned, "This 28T does generate squarewave's ( also disruptive)...... and in some schematics connected in series with a cap to the grenade...
By changing the series 28T cap..  ( as mentioned by AG .. switch capacitor).......i can create "Radio moscow"noise out of the yoke..  with out the kacher running".
The sound given off by 28t coil and 3t coil is not the same as when the Kacher is also connected up. One guy called it the frying chicken sound, instead.
When you hear that sound, that indicates that that part of the device is in sync with itself. The 3t and the 28t coil circuits are matched up, and sounds like frying chicken. However, the sound when the Kacher is turned on (Radio Moscow) sounds different.
So, both those sounds are important, and can tell you a bit of what may be going on, to some extent. Generally the higher the sound volume, the better the output. There are exceptions, as well.
The only thing that I can come up with is that the device is not in sync. And is the reason that we only get a limited output. The better the sync, the higher the output. In order to get OU, it has to be in perfect sync. Which I doubt, at least on my device. So, to me it's a matter of degree, not whether it works or not. But, it works according to how well the two circuits sync up with each other, and the Kacher signal. If they are only just little off,  it's no cigar. So, what we see and get, is limited gain and only partial output, instead. Or something like deco art, to put up on the wall...

Nice info Sergy, thanks a lot.
What a nice idea for a metal detector. I hope it is sensitive enough for coin beach-hunting. At least we can take back this way some wasted money in cables and parts. ;D

Guys has anyone understood how Maxim connects his main coil-pipe with the second pvc pipe? I tried a lot to find a cable but looks like he takes the signal inductively, or capacitively if you like it better, but not galvanically. What is your opinion?

Looks quite simple device to experiment with.
By comparing other devices i easily assume that under the white plastic there is a cap and a bridge rectifier.

Brovin supposed to use displacement sensors on the Kacher principle in suits for virtual reality.

Transistor control through the collector - probably in high-speed chips, CPU ..

Amazing! So many applications with this trick. It would be interesting to be compined with an arduino. With a very sensitive threshold control at the "alarm" we have a nice electrostatic detector.

There is a 2 part video of one of these units ob youtube using a high power MOSFET that runs of the mains it looks deadly with it's a yellow flame. don't ask me to find it!

Jeg:  Here is another version of the same circuit. You can see that he is using the laptop adapter to rectify and reduce the voltage that goes back to the simple Kacher circuit. The blue tower is his capacitor.
I had some diagrams of how it was all connected up, but I can't find them right now.
In any case, that is one amazing device, if true.

Why bother with that thing it has ferrite drilled out with mercury in it! some guy paid 5000 for it only got some of the parts !

   Guys:
So, Wesley has gone from powering the world through Zenneck waves, to lighting a little bulb from metal roofs. Better to use a 1 dollar garden light, probably puts out more output. It's a wasted effort, as far as I can see.
He probably would not like my comment, so he blocks me from posting, and everyone else.     What did he expect... I guess that he has run out of more links to post about his pet theory.

AG:  I'm not messing with it, Jeg was interested as to how it was wired up and working. So am I.   What you are talking about is NOT the same circuit. This one is the original device shown working in his video, by Poma.
