Nick,

Nobody on this forum knows which config will produce the claimed results, so try them all until you succeed or not. There is no blueprint yet available to self-running success. My setup worked best with one push-pull channel disabled (not because of any channel shoot-through)!

No, friends, none of those people has ever actually made a "self running" circuit. If you actually think they have, you have to be able to explain several things:

1. Why have they not been "suppressed" by the oil companies and governments?
2. Why aren't they rich beyond their wildest dreams?
3. Why are they wasting time posting YouTube videos and collecting ad money from clicks?
4. Why can't anyone here "replicate" their performances, since they have posted their schematics and made these explanatory videos?

.. and a lot more logical inconsistencies.

Now carry on. Your efforts are valuable because you are learning much from your experiences. But you'll never make any "self runner" or OU device by following the directions _and false leads_  from those fakers.

Here is Stalker's scope shots, showing the maximum duty cycle of 44.4%. And pointing to the "pause" between push pull oscilations.
Let me know what you think about that.
It may be that Stalker has based his ideas for the above circuit, from the TopRuslan 7 schematic, and made some changes and modifications to it as he saw fit.

I will be using the same or similar snubber set up for my mosfets.
Possibly  Itsu (our snubber expert) has some thoughts about that, as well.

Nick,

it does not matter how to generate those push pull signals, there are many ways, but i would suggest to stick to a proven circuit like the ones mentioned by verpies.
He goes by the data sheets which is how the manufacturer has designed the chip to be used.

The "pause" you mention is the "dead time" verpies was talking about.
44.4% x 2 = 88.8%, meaning he has a 100 - 88.8 = 11.2% dead time between the pulses.
This dead time prevents the both MOSFETs from being ON at the same time causing a short from your 24V supply to ground via these MOSFETs (burning them out in the process).

I understand 44.4% duty cycle is very reasonable, allthough some say that 33% duty cycle adds more magic  :o into the mix.

Considering the snubbers, i am not an expert in anything let alone an expert on snubbers, but i only see 2 diodes (MUR460??) across the push pull MOSFETs (IRF3205) in the Stalker circuit, so that is very minimal and i would like to see a scope shot of the Drain signals.

The topruslan 7 circuit uses some more elaborate snubber setup, but you know that i would go for the lossless clamp design from verpies.
You will see for yourself on your scope.

   Itsu:
I could not get both channels working with Verpies posted diagram. Maybe some one else can get it to work.
The topruslan way may not be the most ideal, but it works for me.
I will continue with the snubbers and FETs. I can always return to the TL494 to make any changes in the future.
Perhaps apecore can post a video of his circuit showing how his dead time or duty cycle looks like on his scope.
It would be good to compare it with Stalker's video. They may be very similar. If so, there may be nothing wrong, just another way of doing it.

I could not get both channels working with Verpies posted diagram.
Of course you realize, that this single channel output and the >49% duty cycle means that there is some hidden flaw in your circuit.
If I were you, I'd be very interested why it works differently for so many people (including the manufacturer).
.
If you ignore this discrepancy, it will come back and bite you later.

Pull the chip, install a socket, try to find some genuine Texas Instruments TL494 chips to experiment with.

I'll be done with the snubbers and the rest of the circuit tomorrow.
I got the new zeners, resistors, and diodes to install so I can finish the push pull snubbers.
No pulling ICs, at least not yet...

Just got my snubber parts order, so I'll install them soon. Any way, this is what it looks like, so far.

hi,

Please don't forget the MOV's which should be rated just below the fast response protection diode(Assume 600volts) used to protect the source drain of mosfet(~600volts...650volts).

Around 470volts rated for MOV.

Without Mov the external "protection diode" will likely be destroyed upon turning on Kacher at the certain frequency but good news is expensive mosfet won't be damaged.

   What is a MOV?
I am now following the Stalker diagram that I posted previously, for the snubbers. But I'll be using the MUR1560  instead of the MUR460. Other than that, the rest of the snubbed components are the same.

hi,

MOV is Metal-oxide varistor.

Why use a MOV it's an energy waster and what you drain (waste) overheats the system and wastes your free energy (assuming you ever get any with this concoction) ;)  just use two fast diodes from the collectors a good cap and a bleed resistor back into the system somewhere like the EHT driver supply possibly.

There is also another way of using push-pull energy init's own drive by winding the drive transformer in a more efficient way.

Why use a MOV it's an energy waster
Every dissipative snubber is an energy waster.
It snubs electric energy by converting it to heat.

just use two fast diode...
Diodes in snubbers waste energy, too.
That waste is proportional to their forward voltage drop, so Synchronous rectifiers waste the least energy, Schottky diodes waste more, Silicon diodes - even more, Silicon Carbide diodes - much more, and Zener diodes - the most.
...and MOVs get used up.
