But you refused to show us even the scheme of your simple Amazing oscillator. If You don't want to make money with selling them and if you really want to explain others its principle - what prohibits you to show us at least the scheme?

Zephir ,
I did not explain about the work of that circuit "amazing oscillator" because i respect the rules that i agree when i sold the idea in at end 2014 to a company by some money . In that time i really need money because i'm Unemployed without any income to survive and that money boost too to i buy first tools   . can you or anyone Criticize me for it?
I think not.
Where was the interest of people in this circuit at that time ?

AHH Akula was fashionable in that time , and my circuit was just a fake copy, that's what I heard at that time by most people. Where are you and the "moralists" when i publish that circuit in 26/05/2014 ?
Did i earn any money by the viewers in my channel ? for sure not just see my views in my channel and you could see that i did not earn money by that .
No one will give me moral lessons .

Nelson Rocha

PS- Zephir if that circuit is simple just put hands to work and think how to reproduce them  .

There is a very active investigation going on around this patent [in link below] from Member Pix....
here post # 29  http://overunity.com/17172/a-simple-question-about-tpu-replication-attempts/15/#.WNcEWLl1pdg

it is an open source investigation and all results will be shared here in TPU section.

brutally simple experiments [for the claimed results] and actually quite similar format [build architecture] to this topic too.??

respectfully

It was working for a minute (both outputs),  but now I get just one output that works. So I'm looking for the cause.
Any ideas?
- Burned out TL494.
- Bad pull up resistor on pin10 ...or connections to that resistor.
- Shorted input of the MOSFET driver (inside the chip ...or outside).

   Verpies:
There is no signal at the #10 pin, itself,  while #9 pin has a signal output and maybe working OK.
There should be a signal at pin 10, even without the resistors or mosfet driver connected,  but there is none.
I hope that the TL chip is still OK, as it's not going to be fun if I have to replace it, already.
Did you watch the last video that I posted today?

Both Stalker as well as Pinoy_tech are following a similar schematic, but not the same. Which may have or may not have the use of the dead time controller.
Pinoy_tech design does not follow the same duty cycle wiring path, as the topruslan 7 version that I was following. And he does appear to have the dead time circuit active in his design or version.
So if there are schematic errors or problems related with the dead time controls, I for one would like to know.

That's where you are wrong.
Pin 10 is an open emitter output and without VCC on the corresponding collector (pin 11) or a resistor pulling the pin 10 down, there will be no voltage variation on it.

It is true that a MOSFET driver is not necessary for a signal to appear there, though.  However if the input of that MOSFET driver is shorted inside the chip, then it will inhibit or burn out the TL494.pin10.

Also, for alternating push-pull outputs, pin 13 must be connected to pin 14.

Finally, are you sure that CH2 of your scope is functioning properly?

I hope that the TL chip is still OK, as it's not going to be fun if I have to replace it, already.
You should have several of these chips on hand.
If you don't have any, then you should know that you can pull them out of many broken ATX PC power supplies.  They are usually OK even if the PC power supply is bad.

Here the link to Nick's latest video showing the pin 10 output only:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=irIKzaCY1Q8

It seems strange to me that you can turn up the duty cycle on that pin 10 signal to about 98%.

Yes, such variation should be possible only when pin 13 is grounded.

For anyone interested, here is the TL494 schematic with separate dead time and duty cycle adjustments:

Dear Verpies.

That's a great start! How about going one step further and add the driver section? One suitable for both
MOSFET or IGBT.

If such a diagram could be prototyped I might even jump into the " affray " again, knowing that at least one part of it would work correctly!!   ;)

Cheers Graham.

That video is showing the signal from pin #9 on the TL494.  Pin #10 is the one that is showing no output, still.
I do have several more of the TL494 IC. But, I hope that I don't have to pull it out of the board, just yet.
I'll continue to look for the problem.

Please watch Stalker's last video showing the workings of his newest TL494 circuit.  Peaks are in the
middle, as I had shown previously. Check his diagram, also, and let me know what you think.
The thing is, that he does not show what it can do at the output towards providing for a self runner.

I have checked and touched up all of the possible connections to the #10 TL pin.  And still no output from that channel. I see no other solution other than to pull the faililed or shorted TL494.  A job for Super Man...
   Wish me luck.

The other output at pin #9 seems to be working OK, although it's proper function has still not been confirmed by Verpies, nor anyone else.

Good day NickZ

A quick recap:

If pin#13 (output mode selector) is *grounded* then push-pull mode is inhibited;  if you are able to reach 98% d/c on pin#9, then something is NOT correct.  For a push-pull topology, the maximum permitted is 48-49% d/c  per Channel (output 9 & 10) as the *DeadTime* will consume the remaining d/c, ie; 2-4%.

I would verify the function of pin#13;
Pin#13 >> Ground = Single Ended operation;  d/c = 98% max / channel.
Pin#13 >> Vref     = Push-Pull operation;       d/c = 48% max / channel.

I hope this helps.

take care, peace

Good day Grumage

Check Verpies Lossless Clamp / driver circuit.
That can be used *as is* with the previously posted TL494 circuit.
You can set the Lossless Clamp circuit up to switch in/out the regenerative clamping portion for your experiments.

Yes but why not get the device working and then refine it, after all something else needs attention as we only have what they want us to know, not what we need so badly to know.
