Hoppy,   good spotted, but also the second C** is missing (at the output caps) and we see a VD1 diode too which is not in the Allegga diagram,  hmmm.....

Thanks,  regards Itsu

Yes, indeed, I had not noticed the missing second C**. Diode VD1 on Ruslan's schematic (missing on Allegga's) has been raised by Tomtech and I'm hoping that he can post his interpretation of what he considers to be the 'correct' schematic. Then it will be a case of take your pick!  ;D

Hi AlienGrey
Nice video, thanks for sharing. Do you have any idea what is this small thing like a capacitor that at 09:02 this guy dismantle from inside his transformer? He called it like..."genister" but i am not sure.

Hi Hoppy.
It seems that this C** at the output is for better tuning the grenade with the right HF frequency. Normally it is in the order of some hundreds PF or some few nano.

  All:
Has anyone connected the two induction LC circuit together as is being shown in that diagram. Yes? No?

Ruslan showed an electrolytic capacitor, a short fat one which if I remember correctly it was something like a 100wv, 2200uf of so.
I just can't remember the exact value, nor was able to fully see the value, but it was the one that he held it in his hand. That's the cap of unknown value shown on the schematic that goes next to the bulbs.  100v?
The D1 capacitor was shown on several other schematics, sometimes it's two diodes, pointing one way in one diagram, and pointing the other way in another diagram, or a full bridge. I tried it using two diodes pointing towards the yoke, on mine.
This (below) is the diagram and circuit that I am following, in my own way.
  Check: Minute 8:41:   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C4egdVsOxmc

Itsu:  When I mentioned that now my yoke is getting warm, it's just an observation. Unlike before I placed the missing 0.68uf capacitor onto the Mazilli crt. With this cap in place, the yoke heats up, where before it didn't but the fets would overheat, big time. Anyways, it's not important, just another observation. Not really trying to compare notes here.

I have my suspicions that the whole 3 turns coil/24,24t coil circuit is not really needed, at all. Probably the next thing that we'll see changed.

I would suggest you invert the trigger signal to the Kacher circuit, trigger it on the negative peak of the voltage sine-wave and delay it a bit using the RC circuit to line it up with the positive peak of the Current sine-wave.

Hmmm,  just found out that the signal on that switch (see diagram below) has the same polarity, only the amplitude differs, so flipping this switch will not have any effect.
Guess i need to connect pin 7 of the IR2184 to the switch, not pin 4 (or pin 8 of the 74HC14).

So we see the kacher is fired at max voltage across the inductor, and i have the feeling it needs to switch on at the peak of the current (green trace).
Not sure how to do that.
Get your PLL feedback signal from a current transformer

Nick,

Edit: The cap after the FWBR next to the bulbs would probably be anything from 10uF upwards at 100V or more.

Get your PLL feedback signal from a current transformer

But it comes from a current transformer, see the diagram.

So now that we are talking current transformers, i noticed 2 different behaviours with them.
I have 2 current transformers side by side, see picture.
The one i use as feedback is dampend with a heavy 10 Ohm resistor and it gives me the signal as seen in the purple trace in the screenshot.
The other one (different cores) is undampend as can be seen by the voltage (2KV) in the yellow trace but shows the moustache like signal (saturated core) we have Ruslan also seen showing.

Obviously this 2KV moustache like signal i cannot feed back into the PLL, so it must be dampend.
But dampening it with a resistor transforms the signal to be like the purple one, different shape, but also different phase!

So how do i get this moustache like signal / phase fed back into the PLL?  (voltage divider?)

Thanks,  regards Itsu

Divider and unwinding some turns might help.

divide one of the signals by 3 i suppose. ;)

it looks like a cap across the one winding, but could be a battery, who knows.

For PLL loopback input you need current sense on the yoke input from push-pull circuit. So when there is max current it should be the moment of fire for the Tesla coil.
Also you need to reach power output amplification like in https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zEBLgIbxP3o where it happen as soon as Tesla coil is getting switched on with fuse to higher voltage into primary coil in video. One thing to mention about ferrite rod on Tesla - Ruslan could not get proper frequency so he lowered Tesla frequency with help of rod there. (And the current sense toroid is seen on 2:31 in the right edge  - also in the https://youtu.be/e3AJ9fy4tB0?t=3m35s on the ground side from the grenade coil)
And the series LC resonance on yoke should not kill itself when you bring more load like it does currently - this indicates problem somewhere in push-pull circuit.
And as always, the power source has to be not from the main grid and not grounded.

P.S> The grounding cable in https://youtu.be/e3AJ9fy4tB0?t=10m38s seems was one from http://www.elandcables.com/cables/h01n2-bs-en-50525-2-81-welding-cable series.

Yes he calls it strangely but in fact it is like a SuperCap. As he said, it charge fast and hold the energy for long. In other word, this movie is a parody on self runners. He just showed you how he cheated and he is recommending you not to spend much money for parts as there is nothing for free  ;)

You speak Russian then, and it might be true but if you don't pay for the energy its free. have you looked at SR193 work ?

Hi Alien. I am Czech but I speak a bit Russian too. Have no Idea what SR193 means, but I do not agree with that guy anyway. As a simple prove is when I connect two different groundings on my speaker, I have quite load sound output. It is a vibration and it is completely free. Just to find the way to amplify it :)
