If we assume that Rusian devices actually work as self-runners, then his less complicated circuit schematic neatly drawn by Brutto would seem a good initial approach for experimentation. One of Rusian's latest videos appears to be showing hand drawn schematics showing both a Kacher and spark gap approach to create a standing wave across the main multi-layer coil. I suspect that very fine tuning is needed to reach a suitable resonant condition and that this condition is unstable, thus the efforts made to introduce synch by Akula and Rusian. Its a reasonable assumption IMO that Kapanadze's devices did not feature any sophisticated synchronisation circuitry.

Now you are talking. Ruslan stated that those new hand drawn circuits have not been tested
by him yet, but he is apparently considering variations to test with, or comparing working principles.
I believe all these variations are based at least somewhat on devices which Kapadnadze has shown. I like the simplicity of
these circuits so that is why I am experimenting with these, and trying to find the underlying principles
which make them work. ;)

Please read this attached document which contain Russian at the top and English at the bottom once more which i took the trouble to create a pdf from Akula Tesla coil tuning video.
Why pdf and not standard character size so that the words can be made bigger for us to grasp better if anyone asked.

I have posted my explanation previously base on my understanding of the Akula's Tesla coil tuning video which Menofather assist to type out.
From this point on i shall no longer repeat if any pointer wasn't noted.

I have added my explanation somewhere at bottom of the pdf document.Please take note this is based on 1st part of the translation.

Please read the 2nd part in English base on Akula's speech and refer to the older post at the point this Akula speech was translated into English.


To wrap it up why 1.7...1.8Mhz range is important the lower frequency value selected is 66th sub-harmonics which is around 18 -  "27khz" - 32khz."     (But don't ask me why all i know it is sub harmonics of the actual frequency)

I have attached Ruslan simple nanosecond drawing.If you noticed the nanosecond pulse need to appear at the top of the sine-wave which is of lower frequency.

There 1 or 2  of these possibilities for the lower frequency as shown in drawing which the nanosecond is at the middle
1)  tesla coil oscillating at it's resonance frequency with  2SC5200 transistor and nanosecond generator trigger at the right point/moment of the waveform.
2)nanosecond generator is in sync with eg:27khz(signal for yoke/toroid core) as one of the sub-harmonics of the resonance frequency of the tesla coil which was pre-tuned.

nanosecond pulse is in kv.
If you search carefully in document there would be mentioned of using more than 100volts for the nanopulser.Since tesla coil with transistor is using around dc 150volts.Providing a nanosecond pulse might behave  like a "interrupter" like those circuit used to make solid state tesla coil driver with "interrupter".But this is in sync at the peaks.

with different parameters, because even if it works, it doesn't work ideally... which is why conceptually it needs to be understood... but anyway

it's a symphony of frequencies in various configurations.  With a 496nF (.47uF) cap the 'drive' coil which measures about 222uH oscillates at about 15kHz... with a high resonant voltage...
the kapandaze output has a resonant frequency of 850Khz... to make 222uH resonate at that frequency would be 149pF (which isn't a 'real' number) (the inducantace of the kapandaze is 266...  for all that wire and coils...

I think I understand how the heart works what with valves and muscles and stuff... but there's a pulsing motion outside of that which also drives it.. something like how an earthworm moves....

at such a low frequency, I'm driving with a square wave, through a ferrite core of quite some mass, and measuring the signal at the load output, there is a large sin wave that has substantial voltage...

there was also somenoe insisting that the diode is backwards... but the point is, there's always electrons available from ground, there's not always positive potential available... in theory the ground works its way up the coil, and is captured by the diode/spark gap to the load... which is driven from load to negative x voltage.

Agreed. If it does work as claimed, I'm beginning to think its incorrect to look at this device in terms of primarily having an induction generated output. As some have suggested way back in this thread, the main taper wound coil should in order to understand the principle of operation, be primarily viewed as a very high voltage capacitor in order to maximise its inter-winding capacitance. This is why I think TK stressed the importance of needing co-ax cable for his builds. The push-pull oscillator is possibly the pulsing element of the circuit, set to a frequency that maintains a standing wave across the lamp load. As both you and Itsu have commented, its essential that we fully understand the modus-operandi of these devices in order to have a good chance of replication. Can anyone elaborate on this assuming they agree?

so do i understand it correctly that with the above you kind of answer these questions i had about the 7400/7414 circuit:

Q1) What is done with this pulse?
Q2) Is it pulsing on/off the kacher?
Q3) If so, is/should be the output of the kacher then a 27Khz/3Kv pulse "filled" with the kacher frequency (of say 0.7 to 1.8Mhz)?

A1) This pulse is gating the kacher signal
A2) it is gating the kacher signal (not powering on/off the kacher)
A3) yes, the gated kacher signal will be a nano second wide pulse (well almost) with a repetion frequency of 27KHz consisting of the kacher
frequency (ideally being 1.8Mhz).

I do have my doubts about the 66th sub-harmonic story, my kacher runs at 721KHz which is the 26.4th sub harmonic of 27KHz (or better,
the other way around), is that better?
Also this "This coincides again with the low-frequency oscillations of the earth" does not make sense to me.

Hi Jeg,   yes i did, but its not that simple as you say.

The L3 (2x 25 turns) bifi self resonates at 1790KHz (with only the scope probe capacitance)
The L1 (2x 48, 2x 24, 2x 12 turns) bifi coil self resonates at 1950KHz (with only the scope probe capacitance), but it has more (lower amplitude) resonant points higher up.

But when using the 0.47uF capacitor on L3 (series or parallel), it resonates at 26.5KHz, so take your pick.

Honestly i am not interested in Brutto drawings like he is the teacher for Ruslan.Don't you find it's silly constructing a step up secondary coil on yoke and connecting a bulb to it.

This is my finding it seem Akula was telling the truth from his version(pdf) and compared it with the master of electricity base on old interview.

This are just of the key pointers from the old interview as shown above-

The Ruslan's "grenade" kapanadze style coil (48T+24T+12T) was resonating on 4.8MHz, so his Tesla katcher was tuned to 1/3rd - 1.6MHz and was switched on and off for spikes on 15-27kHz repeating positive only cycles in induction circuit where the low frequency was resonant harmonics of 4.8MHz as well.

Exactly this is what I meant. As you see the higher power is around 5Khz. Before I get involved to the over-unity area I used to build simple vlf receivers which were using this strong telluric emissions to locate secondary em emissions from buried metals. 5kz is a universal emission all over the planet. 27khz is a strong emission in Balkans coming from north to south. But there are many more frequencies that someone can use. You need just the equipment I described before to find the strongest emissions.

Itsu, My personal opinion is that the appropriate  calculations have to start from the low KHz frequency that you want to tap on. When you decide you have to find the harmonic which lies between some 5 to 11Mhz for convenient bifi multilayer coil construction. But lets assume that we blindly follow the specs of ruslan. You don't care so much about the resonance of the two layer total 50turns coil because you anyway force it to vibrate at this low frequency KHz range. You care to tune the 28 turns circuit including the multilayered bifi output coil, at this kz range. And this is not happening at those circuits that are published like bruto's or ruslan's. Without resonance there at the KHz range you will get nothing.

Mag, I was expecting to recognize Don's methodology at ruslan's output. The circuit just lacks the capacitor in parallel to the 28 turns coil and bifi! Yes I am aware of these Tesla quotes as I have read this interview more than 3 times. And every time I do it I see something new! Anyway, I am still on the tuning process, experimenting and enjoying my cigarette with many caps of coffee per day! Yesterday all day I was trying to tune this 28turns circuit with no results. Today I am going to proceed ala don smith. Good  luck and happy experimenting!

Normally you don't need to synchronize the pulse as to give the high frequency only at the peak of the low frequency. Do you remember the link that you posted some pages back with these two Tesla coils firing at different frequencies producing fireballs? Check the common primary that triggers them at a low bps frequency. Once primary fires, both secondaries continually fires at different rates. Just need to be harmonics of the same fundamental.

Hummm, I'm not at all convinced on the telluric currents hypothesis for the Kapa devices. You will recall that a.king21 was adamant that his 'team' witnessed disconnection of the earth wire and Kapaanadze's Aqua2 device continued to operate. The crude termination of the earth wire to Rusian's domestic radiator also is far from convincing me that ground currents are instrumental in the operation of these devices.
