  Yes, the cap is needed after the yoke, as it takes the place of the noisy, or not so noisy spark gap. As we can see from his last video, there is practically no spark, or a very tiny visible spark, going toward the resonator coil. Maybe a big cap is not needed, just a smaller one of the right value. I was even thinking of using a leyden jar, as this has been done before, and worked well. I just haven't gotten there yet, but I will.
I mean not this capasitor. If you put 1000 V pulses, then capasitor C1 and brown wire in picture must is LC contur and it vibrate on self frenquency, and you must put 1000 volt impulses in resonance on sinus. Let say C1 and brown vibrating on 1 kiloherc, then pulses mus be on higher ampiltude exactly with that frenquency, exatly 1 kiloherc, or let say 100 herc, on each ten put pulse, that must be beter than 1 koloherc, I think. I see other pepole divice who get selfrunning and they seems speak about that or do that, LC vibrating on 1 kiloherc let say and you put impulses on 100 herc.

Nick, I think the picture of the Akula PSU is throwing you. Its not an inverter, its a 12V / 10A PSU, so please do not try driving your coil from 220V rectified AC which is dangerous! The PSU that you can't clearly see in the video is running at 25V, 2.5A. I would think this is quite adequate for experimentation purposes.

Yes, mosfets if feeded with 220 volts. I think because he get that good result. Mosfets, I think is generate short pulses, so in other case curent can be very hight. So on 3 turns coil is about 50 volts, on red coil on tube is 50 volts or 100 volts, because on resonace voltage with capasitor (C2 in my schematic) can incress.

So, don't get side tracked.  I'm hoping that you guys with all the toys, will help, as much as the guy next door is doing.
  I can only do what I can do, if this is not the horse that I can ride, I may have to look for another horse.
This device has already been sold, so It's probably just a matter of time before it's available at a price.  I hope.

  If I can get the light bulb to light, the way things are currently set up, then the rest is not so difficult to do. So, I'm trying to get at least that small light at the end of the tunnel, I'll then know what to do, after that.

Invert short pulses to 180 degrees and you will get what Romanov said over last 2 years... ;) That will match Tesla quote on some degree as you need higher frequency for getting better effect. Also Ismael Aviso did same if you like to compare.

You can make a conventional device without knowing its working principles but that just does not apply to unconventional devices.
That's logical.

Even with conventional devices conventional working principles are used behind the scenes, e.g. metal wires conduct electric current when they touch, they form closed circuits, current loops create magnetic fields, changing magnetic fields generate voltage in conductor loops, current + resistance = heat, capacitors let AC pass but not DC, etc...
All of the above may just seem like common sense, but in fact it represents a body of conventional knowledge and conventional working principles.

Without them it would be very hard to build even the simplest circuit, e.g.: an ignoramus might not scrape off the enamel when connecting a light bulb to a battery with magnet wires, or he might use just one wire, or a nylon fishing line, or he might wind a coil with uninsulated metal wire (I did exactly that when I was a toddler).

The voltage with same amperage :)
When short pulse is finished the remagnetization on 180 degrees occur in coil with great power.
