Perhaps Hoppy has run out of fakes to deal with. The asylum is getting low on new fake devices, so he may out of the streets looking for some more to put to the magnifier test.

Hi all. I'm still around taking the medication. The streets are too dangerous for us inmates, so I've stayed in the asylum watching the Punch & Judy show on TV, with those fake BREXIT politicians messing up in the other asylum called Parliament.  ;D :( Any news of a true self runner on the horizon??

Hoppy ;D
Really?? Better asylum than here??  ;)

Nick.
Yes I understood your point. Sync looks the same as important as everything else in this device.
About arduino, it is just an alternative idea for sync. I will upload sketch if someone is interesting to experiment with, but after testing it first to see that it's working.

Here is a self-oscillating add on driver board with overcurrent protection.
I built it as a test rig add on for obvious reasons
If i was building from scratch I wouldn't do any of it like this. ;D
It does work with excellent driver waveform.
The feedback circuit trips when the Fet Sauce current produces  0.8v to trigger the SCR
some of the fates are used to indicate the Led to show over current trip fed from the UCC
pin 3.

You don't have to use that part of the circuit it will still work

Great job. A circuit diagram would help a lot though. ;)

This should help pin 8 of the 74hc 00 drives the diode as a fast switch
Note I used 1.67mhz here  8) don't assume that's a relevant frequency.

Hi Wesley can you check this video can you help to translate this
Hi any luck with the translation of?
Hi I need small help translate this video about andrean Ruslan Circuit.
thing is its an Adrian Gusker / Stalker circuit.
And you might do better if you Message Wesley directly, or on his own thread as he might not look here.  ;D
This was taken down from his youtube channel
I think he explains how to tune the grand coil

https://youtu.be/Yadc8BDT6uY
Good Luck.

Hi AlienGray

I have a gate signal of 2.5MHz which seeks for the right mosfet to switch it. Any idea? All of my mosfets look so slow when trying to handle it.

By the way. I completed my arduino sync board. I use it in combination with Allega's blue box circuit. Arduino takes the sync pulse at its input
and gives me what i want at its output. Right now it fires at 2.660 MHz / 16 pulses. Arduino UNO doesn't satisfy my needs. It provides a minimum
step of 62.5 ns. At that frequencies is too high. I can't accurately compose any frequency i like at MHz range. I'll go with arduino DUE which gives me a 11.9 ns step.

   Jeg:   Thanks for sharing.
Can you make your new set up fire the fets like the Stalker scope shot below? Around 1.5MHz.   What happens at the bulbs? Is there a sync at any point that lights the bulbs much brighter?
I'm still wondering what we are all missing...  and what to do about it.  As I've about run out of tricks to throw at it.

Hi Nick
Perhaps more than one things are missing.
Yes no problem for the test. I am searching the right switch at the moment. All of my switches go just up to about 1MHz.
I am waiting for AG's opinion first before procceding. Perhaps a cree mosfet will be fine.

Jeg: Do you mean by "switches",  the mosfets? If so, did you try the IRFP240N mosfets?

The way that my induction circuit is set up, I can control the frequency from 13.50KHz to over 30Khz. That is my working range at this time.
My Kacher fires at around 900KHz, to 1.2MHz range. But, I will try to get it to fire at around 1.5MHz to 2MHz, or so.The higher the Kacher frequency over 2.8MHz, the lower the voltage which is obtained. So, I think that I know the working ranges to focus on. Matching the frequencies and firing the "switches" at the right time, is the only missing trick, I believe.
Along with the right caps (WIMA, 2000v), ground line, and proper wiring connections and etz...  That's all...
   Geo is MIA, again...

Hi Nick.
During the last years i have built a number of mosfet switches of all the kinds. But as a habit i used to use tc4420 as a driver for all of my builds. Unfortunately it is not suited for high speed applications and so i am limited to about a 1MHz of maximum freqyency. After speaking with AG, i 'll go for the UCCxxxx type like Russians do.
I hope it will do the job.  ;)

ps. If you didn't understand i am trying to avoid Kacher. I prefer a more controlled environment. ;)
