The 1A grenade current assumes the grenade is terminated, which in-turn means that any induced voltage from the Tesla coil will also be terminated in the same impedance. If the source of the 1000V is a neon transformer with some 60mA current rating, then there is no way that 1KW is going to result. This is plain daft!

That is so true. If we could have 1000V while on load just out of a Katcher, then induction current from 3T line there would not be needed at all. It would be more interested if we could charge at 1000V our output cap without being connected across the load, and then discharging it on load as a later action.

Attached is a yoke core i wound yesterday. It took me almost the whole day. 7 layers of 40T each. Total 75m. Insulation between each layer. Secondary's turns are missing. I hope in a few days my 556 driver will be ready to test it. A cap charged at 1000V is waiting :)

That is a nice coincidence or a nice replication of these coils.
BTW: Were you sweeping them with an external signal generator or letting them oscillate on their own?
That's to be expected
Just because the grenade coils are the most prominent components of the device does not mean that the magic happens in them.
Just like Alaska'a mosquitos are not the most important feature of that state despite being the most prominent.

IMO the toroidal ferrite transformer (a.k.a. "mediator") deserves more scrutiny (especially its relationship with the grenade).

P.S.
Are your waveforms the same as in these videos, too?

Verpies your showing someone else's work, how about showing us some of your own work on this device ? I'm sure you have deloped something by now as the guy almost holds your hand as it's being built, come on Verpies please show us how far you have got !

He already developed a vast technical knowledge and already helped us a lot and in so many different ways. A thanks from time to time would be the least of our appreciation. ;)

Your building a D S type pulse driver, very nice. Keep experimenting.

I was not showing.  I was replying to Beboszek's post which referred to these videos.
No one else bothered to reply to him.

With external signal generator looking for series resonance.[/size]

Im not looking for a magic.

Maybe. For this moment Im using halfbridge and ETD core. Maybe I make the mistake of
changing too much and I will subsequently fail because of that. Next step will be to change it to pushpull.

Guys what do you think of that converter? Can it take to its input a dc power like Ruslan's converter?

Jeg,

This module has a max rating of 9A but a continuous rating of 6A from what I can understand from the spec here.

Thanks for mentioning but i am aware of. It is for an other project which demands low current at the input. By the way, do you have the type of Ruslan's converter? I blown mine and i am for buying a new one.

As it happens I do have a new boxed cheapo Chinese 24V / 300W PSU like Ruslan's but because of postage costs, it would cost you more than you could buy it for direct from ebay. 10A Example here.

Hi guys all came back on good track :D
T1000 suggested:
One of many ways is:
1) Disconnect push-pull. Short grenade output and leave it connected to the ground.
2) Attach current probe to the shorted grenade.
3) Run katcher with pulse trains (the power to the Tesla coil primary have to be cut as soon when amplitude on the secondary reach peaks).
- I have considerable problems associated with the circuit breaker,to provide adequate power to the primary coil Tesla (Take into account the 130V.) with little starting power slightly milliampere!
even gaps in the form of electrical plasma is negligible ?
Ground both ends grenade, closed circuit (in my case) killing all power from the antenna.
I would like to know how to operate this circuit breaker providing power to the Tesla coil in exchange for amps is it possible?
here comes
- idea AlienGrey
"That's an interesting circuit Arunus the neon driver circuit sets up the transfer frequency to the diodes and then 'does nothing as it's blocked by the 2 diodes   but in saying that the transformer after charges up 'C' and once at it's firing voltage discharges into the rest of the circuit producing a huge 'spike' that would produce one hell of a flyback pulse like our relay video Nelson showed us >= free energy.
Doesn't it give you an idea whats wrong with Ruslans device Akulas too ?"

- charging capacitor the method It provides us load (I mean how current) Amps? " huge 'spike' " and what's next what to do about it load ?
- what you need to improve in this interrupter or how to apply ,Which one is best suited to Test???
Thanks.

I'm not looking for a magic.
But you are ;)
"Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic."
Did Asimov or Clarke say that ?

This summer I assembled high power nanosecond generator based on DSR diode and saturable core, which was discussed on this thread some long time ago. Because this circuit is not so obvious, I created short document with all data needed for building such a device with common elements.

What does it do except making short high voltage pulses ?
What can it be used for?  I don't understand it.

How is it different from the huge HV spikes of the Tesla coil, that Tomtech was writing about?
