Title: "solid state free energy device" - rebuilt it but unsuccessful
Post by: Teunis on September 02, 2012, 11:41:07 PM
Hey folks, I'm new here but I'm very interested in free energy devices.
I'm from Eindhoven, it's a city in the east of Holland and also the original base of Philips (Electronics), also known as Aristona, Erres, MagnaVox, etc.

To my dissapointment there is a lot of fake stuf on the internet.
Today I found a video that attracted my attention for the full length of it.
It was shot in one take and looks promising but also very simple. Too simple to be true but also to simple to be fake... Or?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yoCBORXzOqU

It claims to be a "free energy device", one person in the comments is claiming he reproduced it successfully.

I tried it today but I don't seem to get it to work, as a lot of people who tried (see comments).
I have the parts connected, got a neodymium magnet from a harddrive but I don't measure anything.

Could this really work? Or is it another hoax? Have I wasted my free saturday?

Is this the right sub-forum for this question?

Hello . Welcome .

wow . that video sure will throw you for a loop . i will go on a limb and say fake . there is no way this can happen this way . In order for current flow you need something inducing a moving magnetic field and a hard drive magnet near a coil isn't it . you can also prove it yourself easy .If it was that easy it would have showed up thru 1000's of experiments with coils and magnets.

most of his stuff i saw was real though like the Joule thiefs and such.. But i tend to no believe it till i make it and see.

keeps us on our toes .

Another wasted saturday?  :(
another lesson learned .  :)

My stuff is real on my channel if you care to look . A good place to start is in the JULE THIEF thread . there is easy projects using a single small battery like an aa battery and powering your Christmas tree lights .

My Channel is here and this is my latest projects . been at for several years and learn something new every day .

Solid state facepalm. He should have at least included a bit of UFO hull material in the circuit. Inserted properly into the coils, it will boost your COP by at least infinity, if not more. If he is all out of ufo hull material, I have some that I'm not using.... I'll sell it cheap. (I've found something that works much better.)

AS far as fake goes Still no one has shown why its a fake . two soldered clips shorted to a coil with an antenna shows almost 6 volts . Hard drive magnets are brittle so i dont see a hollow one with a button cell . and if there is a button cell then how can it feed thru a short . also inductance is out because the volts he reads with his meter is the same dc volts anywhere he moves. only thing left is CG . BUt all the other 16 videos are legit by that youtube poster .
Lots of people comment on such things and never give an exact explanation for comments and it should be that is you respond to someones post who wants to learn then you need to explain it , If it's fake then how . if its not then how . We don't learn anything with unexplained comments that are rude .
A new Person on this forum  deserves respect and since i have came back i am seeing a lot more crap on this board than i did several years ago  .
It's no wonder this community has members that don't come back .
if some are not so smart . some used to be and have lost some brain activity and memory . They don't need useless comments that make them leave . I will take up for them if they are sincere in their endeavors if no one else will .No matter how smart other think they are .

Hi,

I don't think it is fake but there is a transmitter somewhere around which induces voltage on the coil.

Hi,

I don't think it is fake but there is a transmitter somewhere around which induces voltage on the coil.

Hi . and Welcome . That was my first response to this.  BUT the DC value shown is the same throwout the property .I am an veteran licensed  Amateur radio operator now since 83 and i know about how transmitters induce . High tension power lines or some form of induction (AC) will not produce dc voltage (a steady dc voltage) so that theory don't make sense . . If the dc voltage he is showing on his meter is the exact same everywhere then the question is what device will induce a steady  DC voltage and Current wireless?I have never see one. Only ac .realize that it would have to be several feet away . And hidden buttoncell inside of a hard drive magnet don't either . They are brittle and a button cell won't produce almost 6 volts . unless they have com up with a microdot cell that fits in the end of an alligator clip and produces 3 volts(one on each clip inside the jaws of the tips of the alligator clips i just don't know . I have never seen a microdot battery that will fit in an alligator clip . leaves only cg but his other videos are repeatable.
I got to thinking on this and DrStiffler has supposedly made an led light with three tuned coils with no power at all . (he claims even if he is the wireless sec man) Now its not much volts as i have some red leds that will light on a very low voltage . less than 2 volts. So  explanations are in order.

Thank you.

You are right. The meter is in dc range. I have on my table a mouse pad from a4tech, battery free. It writes on it magic magnetism. It is emitting 125 kHz waves. With some wire even with some ready coils same thing happens. But of course in dc range meter shows zero voltage.

Really strange, I agree... I wonder if it only works at this specific place or not. I find interesting that he says, it didn't work with otherwise shaped magnets. I'll dig through the video comments to look if he has...
Just guessing, maybe he accessed the "Schumann frequence"... (don't know if this makes sense or not :p)

@Teunis

visit him , you both live in the netherlands.
I tried 2 setups like these. The HD magnet is glued on a frame , so I put the coil a near as I could. With no success .
The coil which is connected at the middle reminds me of a trawoeger pyramid .
This coil was shortened until resoance occured.
Why is dc instead ac generated . My theory is that a permanet particel flow is guided through the magnet through the coil . (Whatever that may be) No trafo can generate dc because of the max flux limitation. The magnetical flux must steadily increase for gen dc.(Which cant be). If it's a fake it's well made. Meet him to get the knowledge or otherwise to stop him posting nonsense.

People....please.

If what you are seeing appears to violate known principles, then you probably...with a high degree of probability... are misinterpreting what you are seeing.

You could be misinterpreting for several reasons, among them deliberate deception or illusion on the part of the person who is showing you what you are seeing.

If you will look at the other videos from this same person, you will find another video showing a motor driving another motor, the first one being powered by the generator effect of the second motor being driven by the first motor. There are also some random coils and things in that device too.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f0fwjY6_-1M

The presenter has explained and illustrated that that device was made very simply: by taking apart one of the motors and putting in some button cell batteries where that motor's armature and magnets used to be. A small stub shaft to complete the illusion and you are ready to go.

Now... bearing that fact in mind. please look again at the video being discussed presently, and tell me if your interpretations of what you are seeing are still the same.

What is more likely.... a concealed battery _in the motor housing_  or that a coil and magnet as shown could power a motor?

Now, I've shown real wireless power transmission making a DC output that drives a motor, that in itself is not too difficult to do .... but I have to use a couple of capacitors and a fast diode in the receiver in order to make the AC power it receives in its loop of wire into the DC that the motor wants. The simple coil or two of wire, and the magnet, just won't do it alone.

hi everyone  ;D

That thing is fake, and that is easy to do.

the coil is a continuation of the two button battery in series  inside the motor.  ;)

notice the white tie to join the two pieces because it is not fit anymore. because of the battery.  :D

can't you see how easy to make fake free energy device using only two thin 3v button bat?  :o

in making free energy using radiant energy, you should do it in phase by phase and that is stepping it up little by little.
that was what tesla is saying about the stone ice  into an avalanche.
and that was also the technique used by moray ok?

he measures voltage without the motor, even if there were batteries installed in the motor.
So maybe he faked it , but not the way you described.

NO, IMO the magnet is built with a well shaped paper that houses 2 x 3v microdot battery or the like. So measuring about 6V across the coil alone (not connected to motor) is consistent. Of course the coil has to be cut somewhere in order do not short the battery ;)

It is easier to put one battery inside the meter and one to the motor. And no need to the coil to be cut.

That has more logic to it, I think.
He fooled me for a saturday but I still think it was fun.

Only thing is, how did he fit a battery into the motor that's powerfull enough.
To test it I tried to run a smaller motor on a 2032 (3 volt) battery from a motherboard and it barely spins, but still it does.
But with the commutator and axle in the housing that doesn't fit in there. For 6 volt he would even have to use 2.

I agree it's a trick but a good one.

Well shaped Paper . where .we see the face of the magnet? There is no microdot 3 volt battery made .there are some that are close to 1/2 inch Coin size in 3 volt and a paper thin (1mm) 3.7 volt It's dimensions are 19.5 mm X 12mm though . a bit bigger than that harddrive magnet .  and we can see the back of the magnet and the two hot glue points and can see that they are clear and we also see a shorted coil with soldered clips. . The only way i see it is the cooper wire is not wire it might be a piece of hollow air conditioner thermostat sensor tubing and some form of insulation inside the clip(clear spray coat and tiny wire like corona wire is used inside . I searched for the tiniest 3 volt battery for half an hour and only  available is it's not that thin and big as a Dime and fit in a fat watch.
TK , thats not what he did in this video .The one motor to gen video you linked  I can see the power source . it is between the face of the keeper far corner of the magnet and there is a slight gap between the magnet and keeper facing his coil.  . the ducttape is hiding fine wire to the hole near the coil wire to the coil . from that there is a resistor running the leds and spinning one motor . this one is an easy replicate .  forget the motor being modified because the voltage is measured off his coil in the video we are discussing and he runs the motor first with a 9 volt to show that the motor is unmodified.and Tito the tie wrap is just a handle .I challange anyone to make this fake coil without spotting the power source like he did .i see NO GAP on his clearly visible magnet only  you can't do it.. There is soldered alligator clips we see and a soldered cork screw "antenna" . Using a hard drive magnet which i have many of the thickness look correct in his video. and the hot glue is clear . you can also see there is no breaks in his coil . I do not believe anyone here can fake a video like he did and produce 6 volts without spotting the battery and running the battery thru a solid copper coil to the ends of the clip  . Period.

one of a kind fake and if we want to discuss a fake that is fine gang . The real quest is how do we fake it like him .  faked then how  to do it in a clear video unaltered and not using CG . Once we figure out how to make a FAKE Coil with a hard drive magnet and produces 6 volts THEN and only then should this discussion be over .If some of the new people would like to try and Fake it be our guest. It's a fun learning experience even though some people think it's a waste of time it is also something you could play with and fool your friends(Of course you will tell them after they are amazed) AND NEXT FAKE VIDEO YOU SEE YOU WILL KNOW FOR SURE..I think the lifehacker did a most excellent fake . I know it's fake but i cannot replicate it with parts i have JUST LIKE HIS AND I AM a very good builder ,experimenter .Remember there is NO microdot 3 volt battery but they do make a paper thin (1mm) battery but the dimentions are 12 X 19 mm and i believe we do not see this in his vid..

I Found his power source .i think. you have to see the video at 1080p. look at the clip at @25 seconds and tell me what you see.
i have never see one but it is probably one of these paper thin 0.45mm thick 3.6v batteries  cut with scissors maybe .. either way i do see something WHITE like latex where the clip is soldered . This would explain how he uses a shorted coil to show volts. Comments and has anyone every see a 1mm wide battery that will fit the length inside a Clip? We i for one cannot replicate it . Clear view of device at 28 seconds . nothing on back of magnet or inside glue.
other possibility is this is not copper wire its hollow thermometer sensor pipe with tiny holes drilled in where glue meets magnet and a paper cell (where in the world did he get it?) and tiny coper wire fed thru to clips and somehow he insulated the inside of clip and ran that fine wire inside the tips .

Very Elaborate Fake i would say .

You see what you think you see... .but I've seen the two-motor device disassembled to show the batteries inside one of the motors. Very easy fake. In the single motor one shown... why is he using such a LONG motor, twice the length of the ones in the two-motor device? I know why. The big motor is disassembled, there are batteries in there, perhaps a stack of CR2032s, and there is a smaller, shorter motor inside the case with its shaft sticking out to turn the little white fan thing.... which turns very slowly during the latter part of the video, since the batteries are running down.

Surely you aren't fooled by the "running on 9v first" part. How does this show that the motor is unmodified? Perhaps he's got the smaller motor's windings hooked to the "real" motor terminals and the internal battery hooked to one terminal and to the case. So when the magnet and coil (which is not continuous) are clipped in place the magnet itself completes the circuit and allows the battery to power the motor. Super thin batteries aren't required at all to produce the effect shown. Ordinary button cells and some clever setup work with the "ordinary motor" is all that's required.

TK . He reads the Coil and the coil shows the volts in this video . The other one yes easy to replicate this fake with a cardboard bottom but how do you fake a coil that shows 5.94 volts dc in his plain as day video .
Also i want to see that "inside trick motor bit" if it's available so we can see it.

That was my first thought to the new guy BTW. cap or batt in motor BUT Doesn't explain Volts on coil .
It's a learning thing here man . I totally understand you think it's a waste of of time duplicating fake video devices but in order to teach and share what we know one has to FULLY explain and if possible replicate the event like the hoaxter.  AND if by chance stumble on somthing undiscovered . WE do not know it all and thats the reason to experiment and explain and replicate.

@gadgetmall:
1) the voltage doesn't vary as he moves the coil around
2) he never uses the DMM to measure the voltage of the 9V battery
3) when he has the DMM hooked to the coil and is measuring the coil's voltage and then puts the motor in parallel.... there is no change at all on the meter indication
4) when he handles the meter leads he gets a bit of voltage indicated-- through the resistance of his body
5) the motor's RPM is progressively less and less throughout the video until at the end it is hardly turning at all
6) he never "reverses" the coil to meter hookup to show the DC polarity reversing ... (and it's interesting that he's got the system wired to show a negative (reversed) polarity anyway). If the coil were actually producing a DC output.... reversing it to show polarity reversal would be part of _your_ demo, wouldn't it? I know it would be part of mine, if it was real.

All of these observations are consistent with one simple explanation: the motor has been faked as I describe, by using a motor that will fit into a longer case with batteries, and the meter has been faked as well, by putting a six volt battery (simply two tiny button cells) in series with the leads. Then when the coil shorts the DMM's leads you see this concealed battery's voltage.

Observe the connection "tabs" on the motor -- they appear to be doubled or otherwise multiple, and there appears to be a choice of which ones to use.

He could have taken the 9v battery apart and "faked" it too, so that measuring it with the DMM ( really putting a 6V source in series with it) it would still read 9V.

yg_34 .You did . you participated and showed the solution.  But see how easy it was for that lifehacker 2012 to get hits on his channel and fool almost everyone .
Those meters are like 3 dollars and have pots in them . you could  adjust that thing to show 12 volts when there is nothing there but the electrical output from your hands . That is why i stopped using them in videos . When the battery starts to die they show erroneous readings and you have to go inside them to recalibrate then to the supply battery volts . They are accurate if supplied with the 9 volt fully charged but i bought several and most needed recalibrating with a known good meter . In my case My fluke .

TO give this further merit and i agree with TK that it was odd that he did not check the 9 volt (first clue) or reverse the leads on his magic coil, which if he did then that would throw this in to the unexplained .

Inside the meter there is a solder bridge that makes the connection from the negative probe lead socket to the circuit board. I just desoldered this connection and hooked up there a battery pack made of 2 x CR2025 batteries, just taped together with cellotape, didn't even solder leads to the batteries, just taped them on. There is plenty of room inside the meter for the batteries behind the display. You could probably get 10 of them in there.

I have a similar can motor to the one shown in the video, and I just checked it to see if it would run on button cells. With 2 x 357 cells in series it runs almost exactly like the one in the video and for about the same amount of time, moderately fast at first and getting slow towards the end. I took the motor apart and there is _almost_ enough room in there for the 2 batteries without any modification!! A little work with a Dremel tool, or some smaller batteries, or an extended motor housing with the tie-wrap conveniently covering the join..... and you've got the motor sorted.

I know how I'd do the nails in the block motor, too......

ETA: Don't take it so seriously! These folks are teaching us something. If they were seriously claiming overunity or perpetual motion and trying to get funding or win a prize or something like that it would be different. But these are "magic tricks" of illusionists; critical thinking exercises. The reason no "replicators" are successful with these things is because they are not trying to replicate what they are actually seeing, they are trying to replicate what they _believe_ they are seeing, what their hopes and fears make them to see. On the other hand, when one sets out to duplicate what is _actually shown_..... it turns out not to be that hard. It took me 5 minutes to modify and test my faked DMM, and most of that was waiting for the soldering iron to warm up. I didn't actually make a faked motor, but 10 minutes of experimentation and dissecting convinced me that another hour spent working on it would produce something that duplicated what was shown, exactly, even down to the tie-wrap in its strange position.

You might be surprised at the trouble people will go through to fool you.

Imagine this: you and a friend are walking to his pickup out in the parking lot, talking. He spies a bent nail on the ground, and says to you, "watch this, I learned this from Michael Faraday himself, speaking to me in a dream the other night". He reaches down and picks up the bent nail and shows it to you clearly, even lets you handle it for a moment, and it is certainly quite bent, almost 90 degrees of bend to it. Then he puts it in the palm of his hand and begins to stroke it gently..... and before your very eyes, it straightens... and unbends.... and straightens out until it is perfectly straight. Then he uses a rock to pound the straight nail into a piece of wood in the back of his truck.

What he knows and you don't, is that for 60 bucks you can buy a Nitinol nail from a magic supply house........ and it's not very risky to leave it sitting on the ground for a few minutes, until it's "found" and picked up for the illusion.

I once flabbergasted a bunch of psychic believers, by bending a spoon.... a _plastic_ spoon, in front of them.... they thought. All the more amazing because I had one of them go to the corner store and bring back an unopened package of plastic cutlery, from which they selected the spoon they wanted me to bend, which they marked and handed to me. Unfortunately.... I managed to break that one "accidentally" and so we had to use a second spoon from the box... which they also marked, but _after_ they had already given it to me -- marked while I was holding onto it. Of course by that time I had already switched the new spoon for the "faked" one that I had prepared beforehand by twisting it over a candle flame and concealed in my clothing. When I "produced" the twisted spoon along with the patter and misdirection.... everybody there (the ones who didn't know me already that is) believed that I had actually psychically twisted the _plastic_, highly breakable spoon.
The hardest part was buying the three different brands of plastic cutlery at the corner market, hours before hand,  and preparing a faked spoon from each set and then remembering where I had stashed the different spoons! I had no control over which brand the person sent to the store would select so I had to have one for each different pattern of plasticware.

However, in all fairness: Just because some device or effect can be faked, that does NOT mean, necessarily, that the original device or effect was faked.

But if fakery is the only way that makes sense, and is consistent with the observations.... then it is highly probable to be the correct explanation. It's that "consistent with observation" that is the bugbear. David Copperfield makes the Statue of Liberty disappear by rotating the entire audience to look in a different direction, and then rotating them back to make it reappear again, without them even noticing.....

I am annoyed. Annoyed by the fact people waste our time with these kind of fakes videos. Do they think it's funny? Yeah, as fun as a lie.

They could be honest. They could title their videos with "almost overunity", "on the edge of free energy" or "nearly perpetual motion". Phrases which make people find these videos easily, make them interested, but still remain true.

It escapes my mind how and why people spend so much time to make fake videos and fake devices at all - especially if they have nothing to gain from it, not even money. Even when they are desperate for free energy and have failed in their own experiments it doesn't justify to start this stupidity. Once people start bullshitting, I tend to ignore them and their works. I'm certainly not the only one who does that. Is it that what these people want?

Thanks for the fake replication TK, I know you just did this to show how easy this fake can be done. It was funny the way you presented and described it  ;) , but it ain't funny the way the original video was made. We've had enough Mylows, Mike Bradies, Lifehackers now...

gadgetmall, can this fake monopole magnet be made of two magnets. S-N-metal-N-S. ? If it is so, we can say it is not fake :)

gauschor you are right. There are lots of tests, experiments we should do.

And yes TinselKoala Just because some device or effect can be faked, that does NOT mean, necessarily, that the original device or effect was faked.
We can add to this, almost any device can be faked.

:) That magnet has N and S  poles . It's called a diametric magnet . The poles are actually on the edges instead of the sides of this disk magnet .Theres no such thing as a magnet with two like poles Hmmm . unless you glue 2 together and even then i suppose they will still have an  NS pole some where  because it's magnets . . There is a hidden battery of coarse and the Nails are connected to the battery . Battery ,Magnet ,copper wire and theres your motor . if you notice the magnet is touching one of the nails to make contact . .. Fake fake Fakeso it's a real fake :-\ . you can make a motor with those three items . Search for Worlds simplest motor .
And here is a DIY to make a similar motor like in the link above http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=it_Z7NdKgmY (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=it_Z7NdKgmY)

edit I have never tried to glue 2 of my Neo 52 gauss magnets . they are too strong. But hey i am sure some one will try it .i don't see a benefit of this unless your messing with SMOT projects.nothing magic will happen to wire like make it move or produce voltage.

I searched for "lifehacker" and came up with this:

Every day, you have dozens of opportunities to get work done faster, smarter, and more efficiently – with the right shortcuts. Contrary to what some “gurus” will tell you, there’s no single, life-changing secret to working less and living more. The reality is that small changes practiced over time yield big results. There are hundreds of simple techniques and small adjustments you can make to the way you work that will help you get done and out the door with a clear mind and a clean state.
Which is where the idea of “hacks” or clever tricks come into it … Contrary to the popular misuse of the term “hacker” to denote a computer criminal, a hacker is someone who solves a problem in a clever or nonobvious way. A life hack is a workaround or shortcut that overcomes the everyday difficulties of the modern worker. A lifehacker uses clever tech tricks to get her work done.

I think "lifehacker" is not the same as someone who tricks people.
But still, I guess this one does...

CPC for YouTube video's is around 7 cents for a click, so he may have earned 1,500 Dollars with it already at a 5% CTR.

Title: Re: "solid state free energy device" - rebuilt it but unsuccessful
Post by: TinselKoala on November 17, 2012, 01:21:44 AM
The schematics leave out a necessary detail: In the first video, one of the motors -- the one pretending to be the generator --  has been dissected to make room for the button-cell batteries concealed inside it. In the second video, the motor's armature has been put into a longer can, leaving room for the small button cells. There is the video showing that coil "outputting" voltage into a meter; the schematic does not show the batteries and the altered circuit inside the meter, which causes it to read "6 v" when the probe leads are shorted by the small coil, nor does it show how the coil simply makes the internal connection for the batteries in the motor case, to cause it to run.

All this is covered earlier in this thread, I think, along with some severe criticism of the maker of these videos. I defended him for a while as an innocent prankster or educator, but now that he's complicating the claim by publishing these circuit diagrams.... I'm no longer going to defend his actions.

I just left the following comment on the video, and I also submitted one of my "replications" as a video response. We shall see if the comment survives very long.

Quote
Next time, hollow out the 9v battery and put 3 volts of button cells in there. Then meter the "9V" battery with the fekked multimeter and it will read 9v, because you put the 3 v in series with the 6v button cells you have inside the meter, in series with the voltage measuring input jack. Use the "9V" to run the motor fast, too, by cleverly arranging the batteries inside the motor so that you have to contact the motor case with the "9v" terminal to put all cells in series and turn the armature.

Yes, of course it's a trick, and of course it's sooo simple.

I thought of four ways to do it while watching the video.

The easiest one took me about five minutes to set up and three video takes or rehearsals to get it down pat.

And of course if I were deliberately trying to hoax someone to make money, I'd do it a lot more carefully, with more patter and more misdirection, and of course I'd meter the coil to show you its output on a meter.

His use of quick cuts is very clever. If you aren't too observant you might think that the cuts were innocent or maybe you'd miss them altogether.

You have to ask yourselves.... why do you not see all the effects in a single long video with no cuts?

How did you power the light?  :o

I don't mean to be cruel.... but the clues are all there in the video. Knowing for sure that I faked it... because I'm telling you right out that it's faked.... how would you go about doing it? Assume that is how I did it.  Now, look for evidence in the video for your hypothesis or against it.

I'll also tell you right up front that there are at least two "tells" in my video that reveal the method, and several more highly suggestive elements that support the conclusion but aren't full-on "tells".

This is also true of my video showing me metering the device inside a small Faraday cage. The tells are there. Look at what you actually are seeing, not what you want to see or what the presenter wants you to see.

Now.... here's the "caveat".  Just because I can reproduce his effects with fakery.... it does not logically follow that he is faking.  However, what he is showing is so inconsistent with any other hypothesis, and IS consistent with the fakery hypothesis.... that one may justifiably hold that "fakery" is the explanation, until he comes up with more better demonstrations and proofs ... and a YouTube video of any kind, these days, no matter what it shows or appears to show,  is not going to cut it.

Come up with anything yet?

Oh well, I was hoping for some good guesses anyway.

Here's how I did it, again, not necessarily the way he did, but I do see something under one of his clips that could be a tiny wire. Now that I've thought more about it I'd probably use sharp pinpoints instead of the screws. Less visible, and if tiny holes are drilled in the clips at the right spots, could provide plenty of support and good contacts, and you wouldn't notice them during the inspection.

Good Job TinselKoala, Works a treat, I know you only faked the faking and it really is real. Just kidding.
But I couldn't pick you're fake fakery. Good job. I've been saying for while now that anything we can imagine
as real can be faked. Humans can be very clever or very naive.
I hardly ever believe anything I see or am told anymore unless it makes sense or there is solid proof.
There is absolutely no need to believe, no reason to, it's better to require proof, even if I need to find the proof myself.
Far too many things are just said on these forums with no evidence or references. At some time all the folks exposing the fakes will get
sick and tired of trying to help and leave the naive to their pipe dreams and deceit. It is difficult for a person who thinks logically to
interact in any meaningful way because of all the ( scalar hype), (radiant energy), ( back emf from coils discharging) ect. fallacies.
Most people who do see through the cr@p fog stop contributing because of the scale of the guru rubbish hype and the falsities they peddle
make rational discussion difficult. It's no wonder free energy has such a bad name. Which plays right into the hands of the energy cartels,
discredit the movement. When a logical person see's so many on the websites believing in fakes, what must they think ?

I am of the opinion that the likes of Vladimir Utkin And Don Smith are employed to give hope for a solution to the energy problem as a distraction from
the real problems. Which are the corrupt politicians not working for the public but working for the rich.
Just like the illusion of politics doing something to improve things, so is the illusion of the guru's providing solutions. They work the same way.
Problem-Reaction-Solution. False problem, induced reaction and their solution to the false problem.

With some it is the back emf,
eg.
False Problem = nasty back emf consuming power.
Reaction = oh deary me what will we do, the nasty Back emf is going to make us all starve.
Solution = Here build an inefficient transformer where the power drawn from the secondary doesn't affect the primary, then the output will be restricted
to less than the input and the load won't be powered properly. But you will reduce the effect of the nasty back emf which will harm us all if not attacked.

Wake up folks. The people pointing out the fakers won't do it forever when there is no thanks for doing it. So.

Thank you TinselKoala. I appreciate you showing us how these things can be so easily faked.

Cheers

P.S. In fact Back emf is a very useful effect and without it the control of power would be more difficult. It is a gift of nature.

Thanks, Farmhand, I appreciate your comments, and I agree right down the line.

It's really too bad and quite ironic.

The devices that seem plausible and like they "could" work are never demonstrated in an unequivocal manner... here I'm  thinking of the Tesla-type devices which are my pet delusion, and the Kapadnaze devices mostly, and there are working parts, claims that turn out to be true but irrelevant, there are red herrings, secret diagrams, and black and green boxes, and parts made of unobtainium and imported from Mars by slow rocket. So nobody can prove or disprove them at all and thousand-page threads wind around and around like some great multifilar Rodin coil of Litz wire, sucking up creativity and time but not really getting anywhere.

Then there are the demonstrations of clearly overunity effects that are astounding in their power and simplicity.... like Mylow's HoJoMo running itself , like the present coil device lighting its bulb out of the miasmas of the mysterious aether. The problem is of course that the effects are absolutely impossible according to present understanding, and nobody can replicate those things no matter how hard they try even though the materials are common and easy to get .... because they are clearly, or notso clearly, fakes.

Now that "monetisation" due to ads has come to the common person via YouTube, and it becomes possible for people actually to make money from doing these things without actually defrauding anyone.... it becomes even more important, IMHO, to learn how to separate the wheat from the chaff and to be suspicious of claims without the support of experimental evidence that can be repeated.

Thanks!! Actually the camera is fine, a Panasonic HD, but its files are huge.... a ten minute video is a Gigabyte of data and would take hours to upload, so I convert it to a compressed .avi for upload, reducing it by a factor of about 9 in size, so it uploads in a reasonable time. This hurts the quality some. Then of course YT does its thing, which sometimes helps and sometimes hurts the resolution further. And for some reason, when I do upload an uncompressed file from the camera, YT screws up the aspect ratio and presents it as 4x3 instead of 16x9.

And the light... sorry about the light.  I can't handle really bright lighting myself, and when I'm trying to show scopeshots from the CRT scope it's got to be kind of dark for them to show up well. I appreciate the feedback, and I'll try to do better.

The times I've used a tripod.... sometimes if I'm just showing something on a bench and don't have to look around a lot a tripod works OK. But it makes it much harder to look around at my various instruments and work areas, and takes longer to set up.

I use these videos as my lab notebook, they are bound to be quite raw just as all raw data is, and I hope that their entertainment value compensates for their flaws.

Thanks again for watching!

Hi Tinsel, I find you're video's very informative and entertaining at the same time. Eventually I will finish my version of your wireless power transfer
device, Speaking of Tesla stuff I like to tinker too, here is my Tesla coil I made mostly from "found" stuff, it is a twin MOT setup with a rotary gap
as can be seen teh gap is made from a wooden frame, a floor polisher motor a fan shaft and a cutting board mainly, other bits and pieces as well.
The secondary extra coil have only 190 turns all up 40 on the secondary and 150 on the extra, single turn primary, even though it's spark
gapped, the break rate can go to over 1 kHz. Lots of fun and interesting but difficult to determine the input power, I've ruined two cheap kilo watt meters
in the supply line.

Cheers

P.S. If you got 0.5 of a cent per view you could have earned $1500.00 from 300 000 views.

Very nice indeed Farmhand! I love an SGTC. Makes me want to put my big one back together, for the first time in twelve years... I wonder if I can find all the parts. I know where the rotary gap is, but I don't recall where I put the primary winding.....  ??? It's still in one of the boxes that surround me in my little labroom, I hope.

I've found that with a lot of contacts on a rotary gap rotor, especially at fast speeds, sometimes the spark-arc won't quench at the breaks and is "dragged along" by the rotor piece, so I don't get good clean performance. One of the best gaps I've used for a SGTC was a multiple element fixed gap, not even adjustable, just eight big disks of nickel-iron on a nonconductive rod with spacers, and one of my smaller SGTCs works very well on a 3-element adjustable fixed gap.A rotary gap powered by blown compressed air can work amazingly well by using the air blast to help quench the spark as the rotor is spinning, and even a simple two element fixed (but adjustable of course)  gap can produce amazing performance if it is "blown out" with a constant stream of high-pressure air.

Ah.... I love the smell of ozone in the morning....

Someone came up with the comment you can see the light bulb light up before it actually touches the contacts.
Any idea on that?

I didn't notice that, do you know the time in minutes/seconds where this was seen?

A really effective demo would have him clip the bulb to the clips and toss the  whole thing from hand to hand or up in the air, showing it still lit to full brilliance.

But even that could be "fekked", probably. I once saw a stage closeup magician do the most amazing levitations with a "magic wand", in a small venue; I was about 10 feet away from him up on his little stage-like platform in the spotlight. I _knew_ he had to be doing it with threads and wires, fishing line or something like that but I could not see any fakery or "tells" other than the impossibility of what he was doing. The wand danced around, flew all over, under his legs and around his head, while he "gestured hypnotically" at it with his hands. It was really amazing.... and really a trick.
And of course now that CGI video effects are within reach of anyone with a computer, practically...it sort of takes the fun out of second-guessing videos. They could show anything at all on a video, done with computer graphics, and from a YT video... I'd never be able to tell.

There's a lot of activity going on in his YouTube channel again and he made some new videos that make me wonder.

After using google I found out that the LifeHack2012 guy has a blog too but it doesn't offer much information or schematic diagrams: http://lifehack2012.wordpress.com

There are 2 videos that keep amazing me:

Powering a motor, a led and a festoon bulb.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DhtqcgO0y5w

Powering a remote controlled car:

Does this actually work?

Hi guys.
I am not sure about that one. I was asking him to show us the tuning proces. Instead, he just made a new video showing the build of the coil. Not any tuning shown - just bang, and energy was there. Very suspicious. Also he says the wire he use is the " white copper". Does that wire on the picture looks like white, or lighter than ordinary copper?  Just I am not sure in this case.

There is now on the youTube also interesting thing- so called "One way transformer" I tried to build one a little bit modified version and it has interesting properties. Ex. I have five output coils. I set the input V,A & f to get light lit. Next I connect more light to the rest of output coils. They light and no change on input. I can show some pictures next time.  Cheers.
