Ahh yes, the dumbass heater.

Originally dubbed a casimir resonant cavity heater
(a bit heavy on the tounge),
This device was an electromagnetic version of prior resonant cavity heaters
developed since the late 17th century. The prior operated by heat, sound, or steam.

The physics advanced by Casimir in this area
combined with the biological study of the Pistol Shrimp
led to the development of the science of cavitation.

Interesting to note that the steam version was purported to produce more steam output than input.
