Centrifugal pump experiment. Video report

Hi all

Don't stop waching when the video goes black. I just rest my cell phone while making changes to the centrifugal pump.

In this video I demonstrate a centrifugal pump. The pump has 90 degrees bended outputs at the periphery. These bends can be altered from pointing angular of rotation, and towards or away from rotation. I use a Dremel at lowest power to power the pump.

In the first test, the output is aligned angular to rotation. This is where the Coriolis force is not counteracted by any other forces, and the rotation is therefor slow, and consumes most energy.

In the next experiment I have aligned the outputs away from rotation. In this mode the pump runs faster - actually the highest RPM. The air flow is much higher than the first experiment, the RPM are much higher. Higher RPM also means there is a driving force which counteract the Coriolis force - even if the Coriolis force is greatest in this experiment due to higher RPM, AND higher air flow

In the last experiment I have aligned the outputs towards rotation. In this mode there is least air flow, the Coriolis effect is reduces, and RPM are higher than the first experiment, but slightly lower than the second/previous experiment.

The second experiment require least energy, yet most efficient.
