Okay, I understand that you need to cover your costs, but I thought that was what the ebay relevance ads were for. I don't mind those, I do click on one every day :) . what disturbs me is looking through the list of new threads and one after the other is an ebay offer, which one only discovers after clicking and the page appears. You could make a new catagory, Ebay offers, there you could write about the offers you think will interest us. for those not interested, one will be able to see that by the catagory name next to the thread title. Or simply include "ebay offer" in the thread title.

I'm sorry if I came off a bit sharp, I do think you are providing a very interesting forum and realise the time and costs to provide this must be high, I just wouldn't like to see the quality of the forum go down, or for it to lose people who are doing interesting research.

What he said.

Not to mention, if we're not clicking on the ads enough, it doesn't mean we need to be tricked into it. That's just lame.

The problem is, I would like to use the Ebay USA affiliate program,
as so many US people are here, but me as a German can not get onto
it... That is the problem and I might just be able to put
Australian or English ( UK) Ebay ads up here,
which are in English language...so I don?t know...

At least I am listing here interesting things related to new
energy technology and if you have a look at the pics you can
already see, what it is about...

Also German Ebay pays better than Ebay USA for their
affiliates and you are not tricked as you can decide,
if you want to have a look at the offer or not...
if you don?t want to have a look at it, then you don?t have to
klick at it... but it would be nice of you, if you have a look,
as this pays the hosting of the forum and I don?t have to make
a membership paysite of this forum...

Hartiberlin,

I have found that if you click on the Ebay link that you provide, then copy the ad number in the upper right corner, then sign in to Ebay USA, and paste the number in search, it will display enough of the German Ebay listing in English that you can understand it usually.  Maybe this will help others from the USA that click on an Ebay listing in Germany.  Just have to check to see if they will ship to the USA.
