Again based on lafonte's experiments this concept should be straightforward to understand.

Gears have exactly a ratio of 3:1. This concept eliminates the need for a secondary reciprocating motion so it's much simpler, more efficient and probably cheaper.

There's also a set of floating gears in the rendition but that's just an engineering matter.

Actually there's no need for the gears to be cramped in like that, it would be easier to engineer if they where external like below. Even a planet gear could be easier to apply like this.

I think I could have most of these parts laser cut including the gears for a palm sized proof of concept.

Edit: I was trying to analyze every position very carefully. There are 2 big aspects to this concept. The main part is the magnets attracting each other, the other aspect is the the magnets attracting the rotor.
What's exciting is that when the magnets reach their nearest point, in this position they attract the fast rotor stronger than when they try to pull it back individually. FEMM shows slightly more than double the force. To be on the safe side we could say this force is balanced. Because if you look carefully when both magnets are near each other they pull forward the rotor once, but each inidivudal magnet pulls back the rotor once. So you have 1 forward force that's 2x "big", and 2 backwards forces that's 1x "big"

So all we are left with are the magnets attracting, that's more hope for the concept.
