DIY solar oven for sale
« on: July 16, 2011, 06:18:25 PM »
Hi evrebody. Take a look at Solar Oven I made.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JR8-NTwSj0k

Here are main specifications:

Hello I would like to present you my new handmade solar oven, called Solncebranka. Main advantages of my solar oven:

1. Drastic cuts in the electric and gas bills

2. Solncebranka is waterproof, made from the high quality reflective materials, used in aero-industry

3. If you are sick with diseases like Altzheimer or diseases connected with lack of memory, concentration and like it will be very beneficial for you because:

- You will forget about scorching of food to frying pan or pot

- You and your loved ones shouldn't worry about formidable menace of conflagration and getting burned alive with your children because of forgetting to turn off the gas

4. You can leave the food (not meat) for 2-3 days without food getting spoiled. At Day there is nearly constant hot temperature of 200 degrees Farenheit (100 Celsius) reached and in the night it is too cold for food to get spoiled.

5. Temperature of 200-250 Farenheit or about 100 - 120 C is usual for Solncebranka in regular hot day.

6. Ability to work even in cloudy day.

7. Solncebranka is ultimately beneficial from ecological point of view, as it makes a death blow for all these blood thirsty mega-corporations sucking Black Gold from our Mother Earth and making huge profits from Wars in Iraq Libya and Afganistan.

8. Easily folds to A4 notebook size

9. Special system to uphold it even during strong wind.

10. You can cook just about anything - potatoes, bake vegatables and fruits, make ragout or haricot, you can even bake make some meat or jams.

Thanks for attention.

It says $75 on his web site.  I'm curious what the reflective material is made of.  Solar ovens are nothing new and there are a lot of DIY info on how to build your own around.  Some are better than others but $75 seems reasonable for one like this if the reflective material will last.

Yes, it is easy to make it yourself. Actually evrebody can make it yourself. This is what I also thought... I used one of the youtube videos, to make my first prototype, I took cardboard from the big refrigirator box, cut the form then glued it and put some foil. In seems to be easy and didn't took a lot of time, but the results were also poor, foil got warped after several uses and cardboard was all  wet after first rain, althought in this oven I could make about dozen meals. So I started to seek more durable materials... As a base I used polygal which is waterproof, but about the foil I was really dissatisfied, then I was talking with my friend over Skype, and shared him with my problem. And thats it! He told me he got some very good material in his Antonov aviation plant he was working on. He showed me the pic of it, This material is very reflective actually it is like mirror you can easily see your face in it. It is very durable, so I started used this material after he sent it to me in my designs, so far I'm very satisfied with it.

I thought about selling some food, because it is very hard to entice somebody on bying solar oven.... But you know there is so many regulation nowdays..... For example if somebody will have diarrhea from my food he can easily put me to jail or just cause me a lot of troubles. And if you open official business... Then Big Bro will gona get ya.... We don't need this damm government, to pock nose into our business? Right?
