Title: Can anyone explain this please ...
Post by: DeepCut on December 11, 2010, 01:43:57 AM
Hi.

I was driving a coil with the Bedini circuit, which was rotating a diametrically magnetised cylinder magnet placed horizontally above the coil (yes, the same setup i've been banging my head against for 8 months).

I have made the axle shorter, as a consequence of this it occasionally (due to vibration) falls of and drops onto the drive coil, which is air-cored.

When this happens i always have to turn off the PSU because the coil hums like mad and is having 8 watts pumped into it and gets a little hot.

This time, i turned off the PSU, there was no hum from the coil, but it was still 'sticking' to the magnet.

Surely there isn't enough residual charge left in the circuit to attract the magnet ?

Any enlightening comments gratefully received :)

Thanks,

Gary.
