You know ive been on all the video sites about restoring batteries, including on youtube, and I found none of them use my method. So I guess Ill post my method. I use 1.5v batteries alot. But after many uses they wont recharge anymore as my 1 hour recharger gives the blinking light saying bad or unusable battery. So I noticed after a recharge a battery is hot, so this must obviously cause moisture in the battery to slowly evaporate from the battery, and thats why they stop working. So now when my rechargeable batteries dont work no more,,I take a glass of hot water,,then microwave it a few mins till it boils. Then I put my battery in the glass of hot boiling water with the positive upward, the battery is not laying down. The pressure release heat valve is at the top positive terminal of a rechargeable battery. When you put it in the hot water the internal valve opens,,and water enters the battery,,bubble by tiny bubble. You will see these bubbles, let it sit there maybe 5 minutes, oh and best to use a battery that is not charged when doing this. Anyway the moisture will go into the battery, and it will be like new again. So after a few mins,,take it out,,wipe it off and you can recharge them. Many times I find after just taking it out of the hot water the battery somehow is recharged. Well hope that helps someone,,enjoy..
