Three sticks game...
« on: July 15, 2010, 04:12:24 PM »

.....topic,is in the same line with the old "Many sticks game..." and others.

Why? Because, the simple games with the real world ,are a valuablenatural resource to understand,"feel" and enjoy the physics.

One stick game (and a fulcrum) :lever, pendulum.

Two sticks game (and two fulcra/stabile and mobile) :lever and pendulum (Milkovic's dual swinging oscillator ).

Three  sticks game ( and two fulcra/stabile and mobile ):lever (stabile),lever (mobile) and pendulum (...a dual swinging-rotating oscillator...),and here,in my opinion,we have an interesting state of things (with some conditionals,we can develop a simple gravity powered motor ).

If we  have an oil-down "thirsty" bird (horsehead pump, pump jack ),why not a gravity-up  "drinking" shadowy likeness?!

      All the best! / Alex

.....or,this time, three hammers kinetic arrangement ,you can appreciate (or play youself...) at :   www.kenkinetic.com/kenkinetic9_004.htm

A (wind, water, gravity ) powered device ,can be imagined,at the beginning as a simple "toy"...why not?!

    All the best! / Alex

     One stick...as a lever.
     Two sticks...as a hand oscillatory lever/shadoof(lever-pendulum).
     Three sticks...as a "self" oscillatory leverage (lever-lever-pendulum) ?!
As an artistic expression (kinetic sculpture due to wind, gravity and inertia ) of this serial (three sticks...) leverage , at :

.....as a lot of kinetic sculptures , playing wind (input motion ) , gravity unbalance and rotational inertia ( output motion ) , at :
     https://youtu.be/9NVs8zQzQR0
The problem is : can we play a continuous " output motion " due to a "certain" gravity unbalance (input motion ) ,only?!
