Although it sounds promising, i wouldn't touch it because of two reasons:
1/ it is not a natural ocurring substance. I have never seen any synthetic chemical that is without any side effect.
2/ it needs a prescription from a doctor to get it. Why do you have to go through so much hassle to get something that is not 100% proven?

I think it would be best if you contacted the Canadian National Health Institute to receive more information on DCA since they are the ones making the claims about Dichloroacetate salts.
I have seen the institutes you-tube video and the leading professor there claims Cancer tumors are reduced by 70% in two weeks, I believe the dose is 10mg per every pound, so a 200lb man would require 2000mg of DCA, from what I heard it is best to take it every other day rather than everyday to prevent possible toxic build up in the human body.
according to research at the institute DCA turns the energy clock of the mitochondria back on so that the cancer cell reestablishes apoptosis like normal cells do.
