Think inflation is bad here in the USA.Check out whats happening in Venezuela in South America.
http://finance.yahoo.com/news/land-200-inflation-mastercards-business-230001261.html
"The thing I see going on in S.F. is that they're buying edged weapons AND I mean by that: machetes and Samurai swords.     You just have to be 18 yrs. old to but either one.   I go to a shop in the Japantown, SF, shopping mall and see that the 'functional' (read: razor sharp) swords are selling more than simply 'well')."

Credit card companies doing ok however.
"Not unusual to me.   The I think even in the Great Depression, some businessmen still had it better than for most Americans.  They at least had warning the Depression was coming.

People are racing to spend their money as fast as they can, trying to keep ahead of consumer price increases that Bank of America Corp. estimates could almost reach 200 percent this year.
Yet because that inflation surge has decimated the value of Venezuela’s money, shopping with cash would require carrying around a brick-sized wad of 100-bolivar bills -- not a great idea in a country with the world’s second-highest murder rate.

"I expect it'll get worse than that when the economy goes into DEEP hibernation, followed by death in a total collapse.   People will probably do anything to survive.   Par for the 'course' for humanity."

Ron Paul is on the airways talking about a possible economic collapse coming.

Be aware this is a sales letter.Where you buy instructions on how to stay "SAFE".
I am however a big Ron Paul fan so I would at least listen to what he has to say.

I knew things were bad here in the USA.I was shocked to hear this on tv the other day!!Child labor still exists here in the usa . http://www.cnn.com/2014/05/14/us/hrw-children-tobacco-workers-report/index.html
Child labor on tobacco farms in the USA.triffid

The study focused on four tobacco-growing states: North Carolina, Kentucky, Tennessee and Virginia.

Children can legally work in the tobacco fields, and some as young as 11 and 12 years old do. These children primarily work during the summer to help support their families. The majority of them were Hispanic children of immigrants who lived in nearby towns, the report said."As the school year ends, children are heading into the tobacco fields, where they can't avoid being exposed to dangerous nicotine, without smoking a single cigarette," Margaret Wurth, a co-author of the report, said in a news release. "It's no surprise the children exposed to poisons in the tobacco fields are getting sick."Many of the children the group spoke with reported working long hours without overtime pay or enough breaks, HRW said. One of the recommendations of the report is that no one under 18 be allowed to work in tobacco fields, due to the risks that such exposure can bring.

more on the same topic.http://www.cnn.com/2014/05/17/health/hrw-children-tobacco-workers-report/index.html

kids young as seven work on these farms.

"We found that kids are working 10 or 12, sometimes 14-hour days in extreme heat," Wurth said. "They often have no place to go to the bathroom, no place to wash their hands at work and many of them are given no safety training, no health education and no protective equipment."The researchers found kids using sharp tools, such as axes or machetes, to dig up weeds and/or harvest tobacco. Some kids worked near dangerous machinery. Others climbed up into the rafters of barns, more than one story off the ground, to hang tobacco to dry without any kind of safety gear. The Human Rights Watch estimates several hundred thousand kids work in agriculture in the United States each year, but there are no hard numbers on just how many are working on tobacco farms, and no number to adequately portray the scope of the problem. Most, Wurth says, are the children of Hispanic immigrants.U.S. labor laws, she says, do not protect these kids.

This sort of "under the radar" exploitation will
exist in America, and elsewhere in the World,
so long as Corporations control politicians and
governments.

Worse than this will be the outcome of the "Secret
Trade Agreements" such as the Trans-Pacific
Partnership or the Trans-Atlantic Partnership.

Exactly right.   I e-mailed a video of what Ron Paul said in this regard, but I sent it to myself as a reference.
I'll try and upload it the this thread shortly.   In short:   Congressman Paul is correct in his prediction:
       The economy can easily collapse.

I picked up a book on the state of our oceans today. Its horrible what we have done to the earth in the last 50 years. We are all to blame. http://www.oneworldoneocean.com/pages/why-the-ocean
We all must work harder and care harder.Or we will lose what we have.triffid

But the ocean is in trouble  90% of the big fish are gone. Tuna, swordfish, halibut, cod, and flounder populations have been devastated by overfishing.

The average size of the remaining big fish has been cut in half or less in the last 50 years. The average weight of a swordfish caught today is 90 lbs., down from 266 lbs. in 1960.

Discarded plastics have formed a toxic “plastic soup” that is gathering in 5 massive ocean gyres around the world. As the plastic breaks down, it is eaten by sea animals, causing illness and death. It eventually enters our diets, too.

There are a reported 405 ocean “dead zones” — areas where there is little to no oxygen due to fertilizer run-off and nitrogen pollution. Dead zones are doubling every ten years.

Our oceans account for 71% of the planet, but less than 2% of our oceans are protected. We have protections in place for nearly 12% of all land (through areas like national parks).

What happens if we do nothing? Many popular seafood species will likely be wiped out within 40 years with current fishing practices.
Unless we change our rate of consumption, we’re within a century — possibly even less — of a world where jellyfish are the only wild seafood option left.
The ocean is at a tipping point. Oceanographer Sylvia Earle says our actions over the next 10 years will determine the state of the ocean for the next 10,000 years.

We must change our rate of consumption and work harder with nature to make fishing more sustainable.
We cant let big corporations or ourselves  plunder and pollute the oceans. We are all to blame in this matter.Mass extinctions are now occurring in the oceans. The likes of which have not been seen for 55 million years.triffid

The interview is presented above.   I agree with Paul.   The 'money men' on Wall Street, and elsewhere, have done financial wonders with the economy up to this point in forestalling an economic crash.   It just won't go on forever.   They'll run out of things to try that WON'T make the economy worse if they try to stop a free-fall deflationary, ever-downward, 'death-spiral'

Aye, what is happening to our oceans and the
World as a whole is criminal.  Just as it was
foretold it would be in our "Last Days."

Hey guys this can be seen for a thousands of miles away. GREED is going to be the meteor to the dinosaurs. It is 100% mathematically calculated and 100% in the logistics of the neuron wave intelligence thinking past from human to human in the billions of years of evolution to the present time of the human mind.

What this means is that GREEED is a mental disease that goes unchecked/unregulated (well regulated by GREEDY minds) = unbalance till it collapses. EVERYTHING GREED is UNCHECKED for the continue survival of humanity and EVERYTHING IS CHECKED FOR THE CONTINUITY OF GREED! Eventually that will collapse because GREED/MONEY never made the universe! Money is a corrupt addiction of manipulating people for FREEE. Which that is how life does not work! EMULATE IN A COMPUTER SIMULATION A BILLIONARE ALONE IN AN ISLAND WITH %) BILLION DOLLARS AND SEE HOW LONG HE SURVIVES REALITY/TRUTH/LOGIC?

The upside to this is that INTELLIGENCE ALWAYS WINS! MONEY will burn and die but the genetic code will continue (life evolution of self vaccination)...spreading seeds to a new WORLD ORDER! The blind will perish but the truth seekers will continue even if by sending POSITIVE wave thinking in the air to “motivate” the truth of life!

If every action has an equal and opposite reaction, this can all be reversed! There needs to be an underground teacher that teaches for FREEE!

Some “higher” people already know this and seek to populate jupiter/mars lol….how stupid will that be...lol,,,the ignorance of some people! They are still “debating” how the pyraminds where made now they want to make jupiter/mars into a new earth! They deserve to get erased from the time line and allow others to continue the future of humanity! Lol It is 100%, no ifs or whats about it, that our leaders are killing the world! They are just enjoying the killing of it. Well lets do the math MATHEMATICIANS for their GREED and lets solve the equation...MEH! Those "smart" mathematicians can't solve real life situations! lol. Can't you see next world wide extinction? Or do you see it just that you are calculating how many will survive the "next world order"?

Oh yeah..many many many

http://theirturn.net/2015/04/21/jane-goodall-were-destroying-the-planet/

But what is the SOLUTION to it? If we can see the outcome, BY OUR BILLIONS OF BRAIN EVOLUTION, we should be able to see the solution, right? lol

       Guys,
I'm really glad I started this thread and have read, occasionally, the comings and goings of all the participants, especially triffid, in particular.
Everyone who posted a comment here is---I believe---smart enough to read these posts and have it resonate with their mind(s) as to the frailty of the planet's ecology and the wanton destruction brought on by 'vested interests, seeking only  in having their heartless way, regardless of whom they hurt in the process.
It's coming down 'to the wire', as it was said, and those who're smart/tenacious/adaptable/resourceful enough to survive will probably the last ones standing when the cycle of world destruction "fallout" ends.

OK guys lets put our thinking caps on! Now that we understand this downward scenario, WHAT IS ONE TO DO? Just keep on complaining on the internet? Just live with this 100% truth in the back of our heads and not do anything about it?

Lets collect our thoughts and think logically! All humans have the heart of a mother. ALL humans can understand even the CRAZY ones. All WANT TO LIVE! And ALL want their kids to live further! BASED ON PERCENTIGES! From the beginning everyone wants to achieve infinity life! NOW if EVERYONE WANTS TO LIVE FOREVER, WHY DO THEY WANT TO KILL THE EARTH?

GREEED! It is 100% obvious as a bright sunny day that makes them blind! But all humans want to live a happy life! Even Hitler wanted to live a happy life by killing! WE ALL WANT TO LIVE FOR EVER!

NOW with such “scientific evidence regarding humans” how are we to change the clock of humanity time? Maybe by educating the confused? How does one go about doing that? Hmmm let me think! Showing them the truth maybe? How do we show them the truth?

Lets think about SOLUTIONS? = For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction!

Please give answer to the problem instead of bitching about it, thanks! :P

All "aliens" too! If you are an alien from another planet living in earth that has been living here for a while, why allow such human destruction of the planet? Why would you be living here alien when you know for 100% sure it will get destructed soon! well, just the current population on the surface, BUT if you are such of an ADVANCE alien, why allow such thing to happen? My mind has beeeeeen blown by that! even in the "alien" race there is a corruption in GREED! Now I'm kind of wondering if GREED! is part of evolution! And all of this greed is part of the math equation!

I would really like for an alien to post his/her opinions here regarding the existence of this earth. I personally not afraid of aliens. I'M fascinated how they can live more than 400 yrs. If a stupid alien is reading this, WHY ALLOW THE EXTINCTION OF HUMANITY in the upcoming years?

Wow this has to be the longest running thread .... Been a while but man economic disaster is possible at any given time the best thing to do is live for today and if economic disaster comes along then so be it tackle it.

You could always listen to peter schiff, and get invested in gold if you are worried....

I did something even more interesting though I got involved a little bit in crypto currency named dogecoin I enjoy it personally. Economic disaster will come by design the fiat monetary system is setup to fail by design.

The only thing I will have to add is no matter what their has to be something and advice is not to put all of your eggs in a single basket if you are trying to protect your finances.
