Syphon plus. Is this it ?
« on: February 20, 2009, 02:45:34 PM »
Hallo all,
May I run this past the collective brain power out there?

Picture if you will an inverted "U" tube, one leg longer than the other. The shorter leg is coiled in effect 3 times as long as the straight leg. The tube is filled with water and the long straight leg is submerged in water, the open (coiled) end is above water level. the weight of water in the coiled section is heavier than the weight of the water in the straight leg, thus instigating a syphon action. Are there any overlooked problems with this device ? Regards.
