Crazy Idea-LIGHTNING POWER?

Hello everybody,

I was just wondring if it would be possible to capture a lightning strike.
I know lightning is millions of volts of static energy pretty much....
would it be possible to take a large tower and mount it on an huge  insulated conductive plate above the ground, making a huge capacitor with the earth as one side, then we could short the megacap with a kind of fuse when the  lightning strikes it would burnout the fuse and whatever  juice is left would charge the mega cap-  maybe then we could acually work with the voltages and currents from the strike?
Or we could charge the plate up so it would atract the lightning, and cancel the atracting charge and over charge it back up
Just a crazy idea!
Too much Back To the Future maybe! ;)

It is not the "antenna" that powered the 2.500 eatts.
It is the "device" that Moray found.
the antenna bring only an small power to bring the
"moray device" to resonate , to that frequency that
is used in the oszillator stage.
/think about tesla's car !  (At  Minimum 2 other cars from
other invventors have also worked same way (loke Tesla)
the Hubbard-Car (and boat) have worked like moray
(with shorter antenna).
