5amp negative adjustable voltage regulator needed
« on: August 03, 2008, 05:38:37 PM »
Hey guys I need some help finding a part for a power supply I?m building. The part is a 5amp negative adjustable voltage regulator -1.2v to -32v. I have found a 3 amp part# lm333 but I need a 5 amp, any suggestions?

You can connect several of them in parallel. Look at the datasheet from National Semiconductor (page 5).
Since this regulator is the linear family, you will need massive heatsink at high output current and high input-output differential voltage.

Same opinion from my side,
I use parallel switch mode regulators often enough,

Hi,

The LM333 data sheet includes three LM333 devices in parallel to get 9A output current from -1.2V to -27V....   Is it not  enough good for you?

Will the lm350 and LM333 I added to this work?
