RAVZZ Circuit
« on: May 30, 2008, 02:03:07 PM »
Hi all

Can anyone point me in the direction of RAVZZ circuit (D14 I believe?)

I understand it contains an inductor somewhere - a modification to Dave L's circuit.

Thanks in advance

Gazza

Thanks for trying 22vision, but that is the diagram I already have.

It contains no inductor inthe output circuit, and hence cannot produce resonance as far as i can tell.

I believe Ravzz has an improved circuit.

Hi gazzwp,

Maybe I can help you, as we share the same quest.  Reading what Ravi wrote about "started with the Lawton circuit" I have been waiting for him to come right out and show the world what changes he made.  After a few emails, he gave me a list of links.  He did not just answer my question or link me directly to an updated circuit diagram, he sent me on a quest. (Maybe some Indian engeneer genius sence of humer?)
I will cut and paste the email here.  It starts with links to some you tube fluff.  Then some threads that  answer important questions and bring to light important findings.
Then 2 links to 24 files put there by Ravi for public download.....some good stuff!  Took me a week to get it all as the site is so buisy it runs out of band with!
His words to me were "Everthing you need to recreate my experiment can be found in these links" .

As to the inductance coil.  YES....Thats what I am looking for also, because Meyer showed one in his patent.  Here is my best guess and what I am in process of building now.
The Boyce divice used a toroid on its output(in pdf10 includes data to make coil to application).

So let us power the "acoustically tuned"(important, per ravi) tube pairs with pulsed DC at the same frequency as the acoustic resonence, through this toroid transformer(so called VIC per Meyer?).
My question is how to tune the "tank curcuit" created by putting an inductor in parellel to a capacitor.
Do we tune to match the Xl and the Xc?
Back to the piont!  Here are the links, best of luck.
Steve
Keep trying as there are a lot of people downloading this data so the limits are exceeded....just in case I hadnt sent the links previously..

Go buy it with a dave lawton approved build This is from Ravi on another thread.

LOOKS LIKE A LOT OF PEOPLE SEEM TO BE HAVING PROBLEMS SOURCING PARTS FOR THE WFC BUILD

Dave Lawton has just confirmed that he has authorised someone to sell his completely built & tested units and kits in the UK.
They service international customers as well.

a little response from you-know-who... enjoy!
:
"
The inductors I remember were on the pg.7 of the D14.pdf....two of them. Later updates had the two inductors replaced by a single bifilar inductor....that was when I was still testing the bifilars and had told how they need to be connected to Patrick, as he had sent a proof of the update but the bifilars were wired wrong......well bifilars were a mess in my case they ended up shorting three of my tubes and had to discontinue their use....I wouldnt suggest bifilars when using my gap of less than 0.670mm.....it probably works for 1.5mm Stan mentions.

The inductors were actually part of the VIC..........Dave had used the exact specs (100 turns, wire dia, etc) of the inductors mentioned in Stans US Pat 4936961.

But then I had later added the toroid and the diode as per the VIC (Pat mentioned above has all the specs needed) which increased the efficiency compared to using only the inductors. I had not used the variable inductor mentioned in the patent... mine wire wound like mentioned in the old D14, pg7.

Could you do me a favour by posting the above info on the thread...it could probably be of help to someone."
