creating a schoolgirl version of the FREDA
« on: March 01, 2018, 04:47:55 PM »
US air Force was using explosives to short coils and get the flux lines bent over each other. This would cause magnetic amplification of 1.4 times per stage

Now I thought using explosives might result in a divorce and jail time so I was wondering if there is a way of doing this just with shorting coils?

Explosives used to move a magnetic ‘piston’ through a coil at high velocity
the pulse is the examined using the frequency domain analyzer

They are able to test the circuitry moments before an emp event
using the sweep frequency response, and trica (tri-current analysis)
features of the frequency domain analyzer.

They already know what the transformer will do under these conditions,
in terms of the emitted pulse.
What they use the FreDA for is to determine the mechanical deformations
and damage to the wiring caused by the explosives, prior to the pulse.
In hopes to improve the efficiency of the emp design.

You might be able to settle for a small chamber and a sparking plug filled with hydroxy gas, a stoichiometric mix of H2 and O2. Be very careful. It is nasty and explosive stuff.
