Play vortices...
« on: May 15, 2008, 08:13:24 PM »

...so to interfere with the natural flow of energy, act as a drag, dam up the "fresh" power around us.

Remind that the real, "unsophisicated" physical world of  "pantha rei" shows and suggests in so many ways the pattern of vortices.

With no vortex, there is no dissipative power in a natural passage of energy. We can notice it easy in a free water  flow;translational movement changes into,is transffered into a rotational motion.

Inside  an irrotational field(gravitational flow) ,we can play vortices if we take the advantage of the inertial frame.

It seems that a trebuchet becomes involved in a so kind of interplay...

If we introduce a vertical reference line that cross a vortex figure,we get so easy an asymmetric design:you know...the long arm-short arm on the same side of the fulcrum concept... an so "old" concept.

The gravitational field plays as a "rigid" fluidic channel, stream bed..is irrotational... so the solution for a vortex outline moves in the rotational inertia, where we can play the flexible action-reaction game: a pulsatory on-off gate, valve in a huge space of  the basic energy.

In my opinion, the solution can be a kind of an asymmetric swinging, pulsatory, cyclic movement for a particular pendular arrangement.

Thinking so,with no vortex,we have no fresh/free energy?

......as the deep, root configuration of the natural energy.

An easy representative  illustration of this unseen fountain, spring of power in a mechanical shape of vortex, you can discover in a case of an Atwood machine with a massive, very heavy pulley: a rotational momentum, whirl, eddy, avalanche.

In fact,we play the time factor, nothing more...

The time factor can be engaged in some mechanical designs...

....with this "strange" shape that can be gravity::a spinning flow can evolve, generate into a linear,one-dimensional stream?

The main question is ,if in the natural world,a rotational process can be developed in an irrotational  one.

Gravity can be imagined, assimilated, conceived as a release, unbind discharge of a vortex?

If so, the problem of a gravity powered device becomes how to access, attach to a "linear" vortex development?

The vortex basics can help us?

Has anyone ever done any experiments to see if a free-falling weight rotates?  We know a free-swinging pendulum rotates - 360 degrees per day.  Bessler mentioned the rotation of a falling snowflake in some of his clues ...

I tend to agree with the asymmetric, swinging, pulsatory, cyclic movement comment.  I have a thought experiment that suggests the possibility of a reactionless space drive - unidirectional force without ejecting mass.  It requires asymmetric, swinging, pulsatory, cyclic movement.

IMO - if a reactionless space drive could work, then a gravity wheel is the exact opposite.  It should be able to convert unidirectional force back into rotating motion.

I could explain further if there was genuine interest ...

      Hi  Greendoor!

Your viewpoint that a reactionlees space drive and a gravity powered device have something in common is productive for me.

I was involved in one and the other,in the last time.

The both  asks for an asymmetric, swinging, pulsatory movement..as you said.

But...as a concept,a gravitry "wheel",in my opinion , is NOT the opposite of a space drive.

A gravity wheel can work due to gravity and to rotational inertia.

A space drive(I call it "Stellarotor") can work everywhere, due to rotational inertia only.

Their simple "profile" is the fall on an inclined plane,a vortex type evolution in a pulsatory cyclic motion.

If you have one design, the other is an elementary transfer, shift of a solid state fall on an incline, from gravity+ rotational inertia into a fall ,sink,go down on an incline into rotational/centrifugal field.

The both  play a pulsatory solid state vortex, but in fact an up and a down.

the fundamental motion is rotation.

*

start with a singular point.
rotate it.  the singularity extends to the form of a ring.

rotate this ring along a novel axis.
it becomes a torus.

the flow is that of a vortex.

this is the secret.

from dimension to dimension, a common form emerges.

an extended ring, which rotates and involves,
creating a globally helical flow.

the electromagnetic
gravitocentric
nucleus
of reality.

...as a lab-demo.All that we need: an inclined plane and an extensible hoop/ring configuration.

The "active" fall of a rotational mass(as a free solid state vortex motion) due to gravity vs the "passive" (nonrotational) rise of the same mass, between the same gravitational levels, can open a way comparable to the well known mini-max method of a fluidic power  collector?

          Hi Zerotensor!

Your commencement:  "the fundamental motion is rotation...start with a singular point...rotate it ...the singularity extends to the form of a..." ...and here I attach the address   http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Image:Dotswirl.gif

If you place this configuration on an inclined plane,it can move due to gravity only.

Usually,we can name it a vortex-anti vortex pair game on a slope...

Can it suggest some new designs for a gravity powered device

....this natural fresh energy "language",with the help of mass moment of inertia, the rotational analog of the translational mass.

The moment of inertia plays much the same role in rotational dynamics as mass does in basic dynamics.

Masses close to the axis of rotation have a small rotational mass:this means are easy to rotate.

Masses far from the axis of rotation have a large rotational mass:this means they are difficult to rotate.

But the moment of inertia of an object can change if its shape changes

A fall, between two levels,in the gravitational field acts as an energy wave.

A fall on an inclined plane is analog to a river flow.

A spiraling trajectory of a mass, rolling down on an inclined plane, due to gravity only, acts as a temporary dam(storage method),a barrier to hold back as a river flow.

We can increase easy the moment of inertia ,if we use a spiral/vortex mass trajectory, causing a slower spinning and so a temporary energy storage.

If we get a "heavy" fall and an "easy" rise back of the same mass...can we take the "difference" ?!

....it's a suggestion to use "something alike"  the powerful circular moving mass of water or wind.

A watermill/windmill gets its power from slowing down  a water/wind flow:a vortex shape is a sign of this energy transfer.

As a "marker", we can perceive the vortices, around the power collector.

In the "deeps" of a vortex,we can understand a specific shape-reaction of the intermediary fluidic medium, that is played by the inertial frame.

For a possible gravity powered collector,in an irrotational field(without vortices)/gravity,the only solution is to play this inertial effect, directly.

To be concise, play inertia at once.

.....or energy "waves", with gravity and rotational inertia , having in mind the images of the incoming waves at the sea-shore.

The allusive  ,fascinating and "desirable" phenomenon , at :

   http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Vortex_ring_of_microburst.gif

As you know ,the natural/"fresh" energy comes to us in a quantic/wave like "manner".

If we build an asymmetric  "track" (envelope curve) , we can amass and use the gravity fall as "fresh and free" energy.

The motion interplay can be : gravity is charging , inertia is discharging.
