UFO?
« on: October 02, 2007, 12:05:38 AM »
Interesting piece of footage by a credible source.  For the most part its unidentified.  ;)  Can anyone give some feedback to what this object is?  Is it the jettisoned booster rocket?

Watch the whole video, I'm not talking about the external tank which is in the center of view.

i think its a booster rocket but maybe i am wrong, does not look like an UFO, usually UFO have light generated by the powerful magnetic field that create some kind of fuzzy cloud around it

ARe you referin to the apparently triangular bright object that enters the lower right part field of view of the camera around 0:27 in the media player version of the video?

I was not able to capture a snapshot, but is clearly a translucent shiny white triangular object that enters the field of view for around 10 seconds.

Impressive.

Its orientation to the drop tank is very precise.

It does seem to sweep past keeping the same 'corner' fixed in line for the short time its in view.

?? Lens Flare ?? What do you all think?   difficult to tell which way the shuttle is rotating

Very interesting though.

It would be easier to work out if the female voice suddenly screams "Good Lord, what the hell is that" LOL  :D

I would.

I've been googling this one and most debunkers say is a lens flare. I would agree if only the lens flare would not rotate and make a curve over it's path. Anyway, proving is not a lens flare is impossible for me, and I guess form most people, so it's better to leave it at that.

the shadow by the "tank" seems unrealistic.

the 3 pointed, translucent triangular object is not a lens flare; lens flares dont move so fast off of the screen, and lens flares are circular in nature; furthermore, lens flares occur when the light source is visible in the frame; the "sun is actually behind the camera.; another reason it cant be a lens flare is bc the object keeps one vertex pointed at the "tank", as if intelligently driven.

the triangular object is seen 28 sec - 32 sec in this video.: wish the video was higher res to actually analyze this.

here are the screenshots:
