Apparently we are called newbies and ignored, i cant seem to get anyone to answer that either. Screw them i am building my own, i believe it is real but would sure like to know where the energy comes from, i am trying to settle the debate wether magnets degauss or not (weaken under stress). Steorn has a design that seems easy enough to replicate. Just look at the model. anyway,,,,,,,,,,,, lost, just like you....

G'day boys,

It is not silly to dream. Whether it is possible or not is really irrelevant, what is important is that you follow your heart and keep your eyes open on the way.

This way you will never lose, something useful will ALWAYS be at the end of that road.

Yes, It is possible, but it's very hard and expensive work to develop technology. This task is not for one man but for big companies.

That is a consumer's thought, and it is pure evil.  Individual people can MAKE things, DO things, and CHANGE things.

Be more than harmless.

I seriously doubt that anyone looks to see how many posts a person has made here before they reply. Perhaps it is more along the lines of noticing that a persons question looks as if they haven't taken the time to read anything already on the forum. For example there is a huge amount of info here on permanent magnetic motors and the work that is going into trying to make one work. So, I think the answer to Kallstrom's basic question is already here for him if he looks. And so such questions may be ignored that the person -- if serious -- spend more time here and look a little deeper for themselves. No immediate answer to a post does not equate to pretentiousness. Also, this is by no means the fastest board in town. Replies can take days or even weeks. No one ever answers mine...you bastards...I'll just go it alone then! ;)

Take heart James,

Only another 16 posts and you'll be a FULL MEMBER. Maybe they will listen to you then and you don't have to go it alone anymore  ;D
