charging super cap bank, PWM reduces BEMF

Working on Atwood and pump jack configuration. the pump jack will act like pendulum using a seesaw to lift a weight then the pendulum will latch and wait for the weight to fall, then the cycle can repeat. Waiting for warmer weather. Happy holidays

This looks interesting....Seems to have a counter weight.

 not sure how it works? ??? ??? ??? ???

Change in rotational torque by changing tension and path of the cable
It looks like a pneumatic door closer. When the large weight pulls
the cable tight it ‘opens’ the hydraulic cylinder, it then self closes,
pulling the cable back down, and the counter-weight resets the system.

Hi burnit0017,

Here is a link to some information about a project very similar to what you are doing.  Maybe it will give you some ideas.  Go to post number 984 of this thread:

Hi, nice work, it will take me some time to get through all the posting but it looks like I am taking the same approach. Thanks for posting. Cool. I am waiting for warmer weather to finish the project. I am using a low RPM high output PMA with a PWM cap dump circuit to charge a super capacitor bank. I just finished a large pulse motor to drive the spinning weight. Thanks again.
