Title: Joule Thief, Lighting 100 LED's 3 volts
Post by: alextecmen on June 02, 2017, 03:13:57 AM
Reviewing projects
I found this very interesting

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NvXmXrCrI8I

Joule Thief, Lighting 100 LED's !!! With 1 AA Battery

Where it shows 100 led running with 3 volts with core of air
Shows the circuit
Users ask how I build it
And by the diagram
Here I contribute as can be built
So if someone wants to build it
Also so that you can bring improvements
In my case I already have it working

is easy to do and if they require guidance
Support with the information
Is not very different from any of the thief joules with core
Build it the same but without core with 21 turns in a circle of three cm in my case is wire n 26, do not put the resistance to the base, it is without the resistance, since it is less induction and less volteje does not require voltage reduction in The base of the transistor,

Can do it any number of led 10 to 100
Each row of 10 led to connect a transistor, the led are connected in parallel
I use led smd

Different configurations can be tested
The noble thing about joules thief is that it is very versatile with the modifications
See you soon and I hope you get the information
If you need more information

It is all documented on here but about 9 years ago, I lit 400 leds with a single, used AA battery.  I started with 100, then did 200, then 300 and 400 was the most I could light.

Bill

regards
that good 400 working with just a simple AA battery
My question is, if they had good intensity or as you increased 100, 200, 300 ...
how was the light intensity
