Nice design, but as can be heard, the motor goes down in RPM as the coil generates current.

But this may be a good way to find a spot and orientation, in which the RPM remains high while the bulb is lit. At least easy to try.

we are looking to improve it, we are interestead for an aplication regarding the magnetic flux generated by the rotating sphere.

If it is a science project to show in principle how a generator (dynamo) works, it may be makes sense.

But if you consider the losses:

- may be 60% efficiency of the Motor
- may be 40% efficiency of the Generator

will give you about 20% to 30% overall efficiency.

A Joule Thief type circuit might give you 80% efficiency and no moving parts (which will wear out). I have some Joule Thief type circuits running since years.

I am not Advertising Joule Thiefs, but as home made things go, they are simple and they work.

One could drive a 1 W power LED from one 1.5 V battery with this component (up to 90% efficiency):

I consider it an improved dynamo, it can generate a lot of power regarding the small dimensions.....in theory it can light a car bulb on a bicycle
https://youtu.be/4p35IsZWfNQ
it is generating the power nedeed in a single position.
We will improve it....
thx

1. Several people have been seriously injured when their spinning sphere magnets come apart or come loose from their moorings during experiments. You really should take more care. Even allowing them to snap together can cause them to shatter, spalling off red-hot pieces that can travel very far, very fast.

2. Disabling comments on YT videos is a real turn-off for me and for others. While I'm not suggesting that you are one of them, many scammers and false claimants do that so that nobody can see any kind of discussion, especially negative discussion. In your case you are demonstrating something (spinning NdBFe sphere magnets) that has seriously harmed some unlucky and careless people in the past, so you should allow comments so that this can be pointed out and discussed.

3. The music is too loud and is really obnoxious. In my opinion of course. You will want people to focus on your demonstration, not your choice of music.

Hello! this time is not a scam, we are looking for magnetic flux aplications, I disable the comments because I don.t wish tot transform this in to a telwvision show. I can respond to all the questions here or to my email adress. We don.t recomand this to be replicated without safety measures ofcourse.

Ps: we will try to increase the numbers of the poles on the testing generators layout to obtain the same result at Low RPM ( in the movies we are using 2 poles neodymiums that why we need high Rpms.....)

I will enable comments for the last movie posted here (small generator + PWM controler), no music, I designed the metal holder for the neodymium sphere to be safe at high rpms, I do not encourage replication of the small generator ( safety reasons).
