Toy Levitron-Magnetic, Or Electromagnetic, Floating Trains

    Toy Levitron-Magnetic, Or,  Electromagnetic, Floating Train

     So either,  an
         - Levitron-Magnetic( non-electric permanent-magnet ) Floating Toy Train moveable along a track
         -  Or,  an Electromagnetic Floating Toy Train moveable along a track

      It's odd how none of these appear on the market, since they in no way involve overunity.

      There are at least two  Electromagnetic-Floating-toy-Train  prototypes I have seen made by different people,  but I have not seen anyone bothering to make a   Levitron-Magnetic( non-electric permanent-magnet )-Floating-Toy-Train.   Some time ago,  I noticed that someone else had thought up the idea  of  a  floating-toy-Levitron-train( non-electric permanent-magnet )   significantly earlier than I did.

Turns out there's not much of a market for these things anymore

   I believe you,  that you successfully achieved  'full-magnetic-levitation'  just by using  'permanent-magnets',     'visually'  defying the laws of  'magnetic-levitation',  since I can see various ways that that  could be done,  and another member her claimed the same thing.
       However,      I am sure that there never was  a   'fully-levitating-toy-train'   that just used    permanent-magnets,   which would  'visually'  have defied the laws of  'magnetic-levitation',   not only because it would have been suppressed and not manufactured,  but also because I have never found any hint that there ever was one sold anywhere.

   I have also not even seen that anyone has ever built a  'Levitron-Train',  which is odd,  since it defies no laws of science (  the earliest mention of this idea,  was made by someone only a few years ago )

    (  people definitely want to buy these things  )

     I think the very easiest way to build a  fully-levitating-toy-train  just using  permanent-magnets would be to  make a  straight section of track,   making  each of the rails out lots of  round-button-shaped-magnets to form two long  cylinder-magnets,   each  cylinder-magnet  being  an individual  rail,             
         - however,   you  could  possibly also  slightly  space apart the  individual  round-button-shaped-magnets ,   either for  traction reasons,  or just a longer track
           - the  levitating  'train'  itself  could  be  a  lighter/weaker  version  of  an  individual   rail-design  in this  idea,   AND,   YOU COULD HAVE SMALL  NON-METALLIC  WEIGHTS HANGING  FROM THE TOY TRAIN  TO KEEP IT IN-BETWEEN  THE  2-RAILS,  TO PREVENT IT FALLING OF THE TRACK.

      (  I posted more advanced methods previously in other threads on this site,  but they would definitely  be more difficult  to build   )

    There could be also a completely different way of building a  fully-levitating-toy-train  just using  permanent-magnets ,   that would be to copy the  hoverboard  invention,   so it would levitate above a suitably designed copper track,   
      but I'm also wondering if could it be done without fast rotating magnets,  like the basic magnet down a copper-pipe effect,   and it could have standard ground-wheels to enable it to get up to a high enough speed to float.

  That   toy-floating-train  video you just posted,   that train relies on the   transparent-plastic  side-barriers    to prevent it from falling of the track,   which I think you already know,  so it no where near qualifies   as  full-levitation.

    All of the designs I have posted are designed to be  fully-levitating,  including the  much-simpler  designs( easier to build than my previous designs ) which I posted in my previous post on this thread.

      As far a I have been able to see regarding this one,   it uses  the  exact same technology found in all these   'floating-globes/cars'  that you see on  ebay,   basically,   the   floating-component   is just a   permanent-magnet   which is  floating  above  an  electromagnet( electromagnetic coil ).
     And inside the Base/Track  of this train,   there is actually a device which moves the electromagnet( electromagnetic coil ) along the track,   but you can't see that since the base is closed.
     It doesn't defeat the laws of magnetic-levitation,  but is also an excellent invention.
      It may not be feasible to make produce it as a toy since sufficient lengths of track could be costly,  but I may be wrong.
       You could think up all sorts of modifications to how it works,  to make it cheaper to produce.
       (  There is an earlier( as far as I can remember it's earlier than this one)  one  on youtube somewhere,  by a different person( I assume ),  which uses a very similar method,  but the train is crammed full of  electronics  and  electromagnets?,  it's very hard to find that other one,  and I didn't find  exactly how it works,   although it certainly does not defeat the laws of magnetic-levitation either  )

    (  Only regarding a  levitron-train,  I can now see why no one would bother building one,  because of the other  levitation-methods.
         However,  I should clarify( what I was searching for ),   I thought someone would build a  totally-non-electric-levitron-train,   just to prove you could have a   fully-levitating-levitron-train  just using technology before  electricity was  very commonly available,   so either  : 
      -   a manually spun  fully-levitating-levitron-train
      -   a steam-powered  fully-levitating-levitron-train( or other fuel-engine,  or stirling-engine )
      -   or even ,  a  wind-up  fully-levitating-levitron-train    )

     But anyway,  I was hoping someone would build a  'Non-Electric'  And  'Non-Levitron'  'Fully-Levitating'  model-train,   just using  permanent-magnets,   I have certainly posted enough designs.
     (  they sell very tiny neodymium-cylinder-magnets,   or even those small  ball-shaped-magnets( obviously they still have an N and S ),  using those would be a much cheaper way to make one )

Would not a  'Non-Electric'  And  'Non-Levitron'  'Fully-Levitating'  model-train be a linear version of a magnet motor?, not seen any of those.

If you mean a wind-up or steam powered version of a levitating train, then yes, I can see that being possible.

Without getting into a grotesque argument about what 'true magnetic levitation'
really is:


The toys of the past had constraining tracks that kept the 'train car' from flying off the track.
They did truly 'float', and the child could push the car and it would float around the track.
They were no different in construction than the larger trains we transport people in today.
Only thing missing was the powered coils that drive the train without the force of the child's hand.


We NOW have the technology to do this, using electromagnets (see floating blue tooth speakers)
Permanent magnets change over time when forced into repulsion.
So, even though we can stabilize a device to free float, this only occurs for a short time
until one or more of the magnets weakens and the conditions change that kept it stable.


The so called "laws of magnetic levitation" are often taken out of context
'Movement' does not necessarily have to be unidirectional, nor does it have to
continue moving in the direction it originally moved in.
But rest assured there is always motion. The field itself is moving.
Even though we perceive it to be motionless in a permanent magnet.
It is this motion that manifests itself as 'force' when we interact with the field.


The quantity of magnetism that is moving is what determines the magnitude of this force.
More modern (stronger) magnets will weaken faster than older ceramics when forced into
repulsion for long periods of time- making these older ceramics desirable for constructing
levitating devices.


The laws of magnetic levitation do not in any way, shape, or form prohibit such levitation.
They simply describe the mechanics of such levitation when it occurs.

Take for example two hollow-cylinder magnets
Diametrically magnetized, one small enough to fit inside the other
And of opposite polarities.


You now have a fully levitating magnetic system.
They will move away from each other along the length of
the cylinders.
If one magnet is held stationary, the other will move along
the axis. If the cylinders are of sufficient length, it becomes
a mode of self-powered transit.
