Anybody making (and using) their own capacitors?
« on: November 08, 2016, 01:46:28 PM »
Hi guys. I wonder if anybody have made their own HV capacitors, and use them on a regular basis still?

I have been looking at buying some HV capacitors, and i started looking for oil filled capacitors on Ebay, and they are super expensive, so i was thinking that maybe i could buy a couple, and then try to make some myself.

I have been interested in trying to replicate the Kapenadze and Wesley and similar devices, and also trying to get a Rotoverter assembled in the future.

I have a LCR meter so that makes it a lot easier to figure out the capacitance later on.

Thanks
