Title: Very efficient wind generator design.
Post by: citfta on September 11, 2016, 12:51:17 PM
Here is an interesting item.  It is not OU but a very efficient way to harness wind or water energy.  It also seems simple enough that almost anyone could build a small version for testing purposes.

To improve the design he has also added a cone shape to the inside to help improve the airflow to the vanes.  That is not shown on his prototype.

This is also being discussed here with a small replication shown.

Hello citfa,
this is a wind wheel or turbine not a claimed generator !

But it is -nevertheless- a good idea for wind force collecting and force revolving and compression !
turbine sqcm diameter to generator shaft sqcm diameter
                                             lever + screw + Archimedes
                                     helix: helicoidal virtual arrangement

A good remark:
In analyzing many wind turbine polars, real world generator efficiency range usually results in electrical output falling somewhere between square and cube relationship.

An electric generator solution can be the double winding concept, offered by Fred Miekka/U.S.A.

older page better informating:

Example : A wind turbine with Nominial 400 W ( manufacturer information ) generated at a wind speed of 20 m / sec . a power of 70 watts . After conversion of the generator windings combined the plant has already supplied at a wind speed of 5-6 m / sec . 140 watts . At 10-12 m / sec . about 320 watts were produced !

+ the waters-turbine test:
Comparing my 4' design against a stock 5' three blade, under the same load, the conventional product starts at over 7 mph and produces very little torque or rpm at that speed. My turbine, under the same load starts at under 1 mph.

waters-turbine + combined coils generator = Very efficient wind generator design

I am interested about his turbine efficiency like fan blade ! For comparing :

LancaIV,

funny guy, if it gets too long please go to minute 17, the most "efficient" Generator-design not only for wind but also for water

Hallo Kator,
a little e-book with 400 and more pages is still waiting for me to become totally read and studied(Gustave ...),
but if I will find some "moments" the Waters-video will become listen by me .

only the "combined coils generator" related :
