She missed the fact the dippy bird cooling is actually created by the evaporation of the moisture on the beak as it moves through the air (evaporative  cooling)  that causes the beak to be cooler than than the dichloromethane.  A simple way to make your dippy bird move for a long time is use a bird feeder.   Another way is place your drinking bird in a boat (small bowl floating on water and the dippy bird drinks from water outside of boat).

Thanks for explaining that and showing your bird. I also noticed you are trying to get some electricity out of them?
Now i also want one  :D

yeah, I meant to get back to that project you can see from video you can move magnets on a CD but I only ever got a few µW I was experimenting with a couple of different ideas to increase voltage. The birds only cost a few dollars and make a fun project with the kids.  We were working on a desk light (LED, capacitor, Joule theif, magnets, coils....)

Re: Perpetual Motion, how about a perpetual motion pendulum.

My version of perpetual motion is not a machine that runs forever, because honestly what machine does. However a machine that runs for many years will suffice. And thats what I made, a perpetual pendulum that swings back and forth for years, and its powered by a non toxic water battery, which obviously supplies the power and does so for many years. • Electric PET Vortex Force Reactor
I have created a perpetual motion machine that is the object of a kickstarter project that begins in April, 2017.  It is a vortex force reactor that uses a water vortex and gravity to produce overunity.  The concept is simple enough and I have explained it at my web site.
