Tesla UPG conversion

Hi there, I'm new here and totally not technically. Non the less I think this generator is very interesting. I just wonder one thing, the rotating copper disk needs brushes. Would it be doable making this disk static in between 2 rotating magnetically discs? The Copper disc should then be connected permanently not touching the axes. In this way one avoids the wear in addition to a flywheel effect by the heavier magnets.
