I am deeply deeply saddened and my condolences go out to his family, his friends, and his online friends.    I had infinite respect for him, Mark was a genius.    He has left his mark on me and I am sure for many others.   I will miss his keen intelligence and his wisdom.    A little bit of his spirit will always be with me.   He was one of the good guys, without a doubt.

I am not sure if this has been reported here. I will sadly miss the smartest person I ever knew.

My condolence for his close family but his legacy will move on in his DNA be it in the learners in the mind or in the flesh. R.I.P seeker of truth. I don't know who you where but I’m 100% sure you have spread the seeds to continue your legacy in other peoples minds. [Reminder] One has to respect death and understand that we will all die eventually...but R.I.P Mark :'(

How did he die?
Nobody seems to know, at this point. It's a tragic mystery.

This is sad news.

He was quite funny and supportive through his PM's which was much different than his gruff demeanor that his public forum posts would imply.

My condolences to his family.

well
it would seem Mark E lead a double life here and elsewhere ,he was very very much involved in helping many serious builders and experimenters behind the scenes here and elsewhere.

not the sceptic which one would gleen from his forum persona here ,but in my opinion very much interested in this work
and doing it right.

we need to make sure that what happened to Mark was "natural" ,there have been Hints of him being overly concerned in some way ??
recently ??

He truly was a wonderful Man.
