I have a working machine
« on: July 18, 2015, 09:52:38 PM »
I have a working machine in which simple magnets are used to provide usable and measurable free energy for a normal household task.  I would like to share it and win the prize and perhaps Randi's prize, too, but it does not use or output electricity.  It just uses magnets to do useful work.  And it is perhaps the easiest free energy machine to replicate.  Could I win the prize if I convincingly show that magnets can be made to do useful work?

Sorry but magnets do not produce free energy in any configuration. So that only leaves magnets doing useful household tasks like holding shopping lists to the fridge door or latching cupboards closed or keeping the shower curtain inside the tub.

As long as the net energy that the magnets deliver exceeds the energy used to magnetize them and any energy input your machine requires to operate then all you need is good proof of that.

Many have thought they had such a thing when they did not.  The odds are not favorable.  There is no need to describe any internal details of your device that you wish to keep secret.   What would be interesting is for you to describe how you tested your device and reached the conclusion that it does something that nothing has ever done before.

Myself and others have tested it.  The power being added by the magnets to the system is obvious and easily and unmistakably discernible.  You can feel it with your hand VERY, VERY easily and see the results.  The machine is not particularly well-suited  for rigorous measurement, and given it's geometry and size, I am not entirely sure how best to accurately measure it and quantify the degree of the effect.  It will be somewhat tricky.  But, it obviously works and obviously uses energy from magnets to perform useful work.  I just want assurance that if I share it and it is judged to be a method of getting useful work from magnets, that I can win a prize.  Because of the way that it works, and because of its miniature size, the 1 watt requirement may not be entirely applicable.  This is not a device for producing power or electricity, but it easily shows one way that permanent magnets may be used to add power to a device.  And it is replicate-able by anyone without any tools.

A hand is very easy to deceive, especially when it comes to integrating small forces over long distances.  Just take a look at the SMOT.
How long can your machine move without being touched ?

Magnets cannot and do not produce work. Feeling something with your hand is not a measurement of anything, it's just an impression.
You need to take torque measurements, input measurements and output measurements.

Just saying that 'it obviously works and obviously uses energy from magnets to perform useful work' has no meaning without measurements.
I hate to burst your bubble but I'm oretty certain you are being fooled by something you have not even thought of.

Hi Rall. You will have to wait for a reply from Stefan here on whether there is still any prize available.
Stefan announced recently that his funds are low so he would have to rely on donations for an overunity prize.
If you really want to discuss if your magnet design produces useable work or not, you will have to post the details here
and let people go over it in detail. Just ignore any insulting or rude comments. Some people get very uncomfortable when
their beliefs are challenged, and they then feel the need to go on a crusade and fiercely attack and dismiss that which
offends their beliefs. Not to worry. There are many other people here who are not troubled at all by such things who
will be willing to discuss such things with you in a friendly and rational manner. ;) Again, I would suggest that if someone responds to
you rudely or in an otherwise equally irrational manner, just completely ignore them.  ;D
All the best...

I understand that it is perhaps an easy thing to deceive the sense of touch in the hand for fine discriminations or weak forces.  I like good criticism, but I have not said much to criticize yet, I hope.

I'm just a guy starting the new religion that unites science and religion and will have a crowd-sourced scripture, and called the one religion.  The religion is only legal in Oregon.  I think it will help if I win a free energy prize of some sort, and I had a free energy device that I built a while ago just sitting around, so I thought to myself...

can you describe a bit about the device or how it works?

I don't want to describe it or post photos or videos of it working before I know what I could possibly win.  It looks like that is up in the air right know.  But I made another one today which works as well as the others.  The magnets probably do wear down over time and add less and less energy to the system, but I haven't noticed any significant drop in power myself and have used the device for multiple years.  Probably the loss of power might be similar to that experienced in permanent magnetic motors and generators or even less as the device is not continually operated.

@Rall:

I understand and respect your position with your device. Together with the others here I'd REALLY like to see and understand what you have but will wait until you're ready to share the information.

Best of luck!

@Rall:

What do you want?

Shall we admire you for something we do not know?

Shall we send you money for something we do not know?

You will not get any price for something one is not allowed to know!

You are in the wrong place. If you want to make money with your device, you have to patent it. Contact a patent attorney and tell him your thing, if indeed you have anything.

If you want to start a religion with your device you have to be much more talented in manipulating people.

So, please come to your senses and stop this tired nonsense. You are a sad sight! Poor man, see a doctor.

Greetings, Conrad

What do I want?  I want to share my machine with cool people and win a free energy prize!
No admiration is requested, but an impressively significant monetary prize and respectable prize name would be ideal.  One of those big checks would be the bomb :-)

I think the free energy prize is/was(?) there to encourage people like me to share what they know and I  thinks that's great!  I think the current issue is that the free energy prize status is unknown at the moment.  I'm not looking to get wildly rich and I would like to share my invention.  I am certainly not starting a religion based on this device, but everything positive helps (the idea is hilarious, though.)  :-)  I think it wise to try to benefit from my actions, but I have no real interest in patenting this device; I would rather open-source it as it is supremely build-able, and while not an energy device at all, it demonstrates that permanent magnets can make a positive contribution to the work that a system does.  It demonstrates that free energy from permanent magnets can do useful work.

Hi,

How any useful output is manifested? A shaft rotates? a piece vibrates or oscillates continuously?
If you can define the output then the first step is taken to help you utilize the output continuously.  You mention household machines in the first post,  they normally use electric power so perhaps an off the shelf generator could be driven by your device, right?  (provided you are not pulling out leg... :( )
