Experimental device glassware
« on: October 11, 2011, 09:48:01 AM »
I would like to have glassware made (to test an hypothesis about fluid flow).

What would be the best company to approach with a schematic, and how much do 'tailor made' glassware orders normally cost?

Would the 'relative smoothness' of glass result in greater friction (between the walls of the apparatus and the fluid) than for example a drawn copper apparatus?

Would it be possible to test the apparatus in a 'virtual' environment, using fluid flow software (entering data including pipe materials, pipe diameter, fluid density, externally applied pressure etc) and if so, will a professional outfit run a software simulation for me (for a fee)?

Many thanks.
