Bibhas De and Dark Energy
« on: May 14, 2006, 09:27:03 PM »
For the past sixty years we have been compelled to use fossil and nuclear fuel with it?s resultant pollution, global warming and oil wars because those in power chose to allow a misunderstanding about how the Earth really receives energy from the Sun to continue.  The essence of the misunderstanding is revealed by Bibhas De?s seemingly crackpot idea of the photon?s having rest mass.  According to De twenty physics journals have rejected his paper ?Source Free Magnetic Structures? because it makes a mockery of quantum mechanics.  He says that they refuse to engage in debate with him because if they acknowledged the logic of his position there could be the possibility that this intellectual edifice could come tumbling down.  As he says ?be afraid, very afraid?.

I believe that the photon at rest is not merely a hypothetical possibility and that solar photons do really decelerate as they enter the Earth?s atmosphere and accumulate there.  Once at rest the photon should, according to Bibhas De, become a source-free magnetic field, and according to his article ?A New View Of the Magnetic Field? (http://us.geocities.com/bibhasde/magmass.html) magnetic field in empty space is a gravitational mass.  I propose that the structure of this magnetic field is a spinning, spherical torus.  Actual evidence for this could be the spinning balls of light observed in space known as the ?NASA UFOs?.  These could really be large photons at rest and the mechanism that causes them to emit light may also be what causes much of the illumination in our atmosphere that is not provided by direct reception of EM waves in the visible spectrum from the sun.  What factor in the ionosphere that causes solar photons to decelerate is uncertain, but it could be the Earth?s magnetic field since those planets with a considerable magnetic field also have a luminous atmosphere.  Thus the ionosphere acts as a vast collector of solar energy.

The mistaken identification of photons with EM waves means that much of the total energy that the Earth receives from the Sun is underestimated and this deficit may be described as ?dark energy? or as ?free energy?.  In his paper ?Source Free Magnetic Structures? Bibhas acknowledges this when he writes:

?If Source-free magnetic structures permeated some parts of the universe then they would not be ?visually? observable, but their mass/energy would be indirectly observable.  Even if they were seen in EM wave measuring experiments, they would have been interpreted as EM waves.  Thus SFMSs might be an area where to look to account for dark matter and dark energy in the universe.?

Are the Plancksche Universum related units not the phonons ?

Another cryptic post by lancaIV.  I am sorry but I do not know what are 'Plancksche Universum related units'.
